Saturday saw me back at Pittodrie House / for the second weekend in a row… at this rate they’ll be giving me my own room key! 😂

O & E’s wedding was such a vibe - it was all types of beautiful and amazing…! 🤩🤩

They tied the knot at the stunning St Machar’s Cathedral then we made our way to Pittodrie House - the happy couple in the groom’s dad’s little red corvette!

Pittodrie really does have everything a wedding photographer could ask for – beautiful grounds, fantastic staff, amazing food and, if you’re lucky, a golden Aberdeenshire 10 minutes - formerly known as the golden hour 🤣.

E looked absolutely stunning in her dress and together she and O were a total dream to photograph. With friends & family joining from Poland and across the UK, it was such a lovely mix of cultures, laughter and celebration.

We even had a lovely translator Joanna Lyczko on hand to help with the language barrier. Although the language of love I pretty much think is universal anyway!

A huge congratulations to E & O again, and a shout out to everyone who helped make the day so special. What a wedding. ❤️

You can NEVER have too much confetti on your wedding day right? Or steam?! 🚂🤣🤩🤩🎉🎉
gatt and Andy definitely pulled out all the stops for a fantastic home spun wedding day down on the farm at the weekend.

Myself and who came along to second shoot loved every minute. Such lovely friends and family and the steam engines (Andy’s passion alongside Amy of course!) were great fun for the big kids! 😝🙌🏻

Can we do it all again please?!

Dream team:

18 years ago today I photographed my very first wedding.
I was nervous, excited, only had one camera on me (my trust old 400D with the kit lens!) and I had absolutely no idea where this journey would take me.

Since then there have been muddy dresses, gorgeous Sussex barns, windswept Scottish hills, confetti in my camera bag, happy tears behind lenses, dance floors full of questionable moves and the honour of documenting so many love stories.

What a privilege it’s been to freeze little moments that become family history.

To every couple who’s trusted me over the last 18 years — thank you.

Truly 🤍

Especially Suzanne and Simon my first ever wedding couple! Happy Anniversary to you two 🥳😍😍

Sometimes you get a wedding with the loveliest of couples in the most beautiful of settings and they would rather not appear on social media. I totally understand and respect that too. Your privacy rights are 100% valid and respected here.

So instead of sharing M&A’s beautiful photos by the side of the river on I’m instead doing a wee shout out to two of my favourite suppliers who I was fortunate to work with on Tuesday. First of all - what a phenomenal piper and always dressed so dapper too. And then the lovely .read.humanist.celebrant who always conducts the most beautiful heart felt ceremonies.

I’m so lucky to have met such wonderful people in the industry in Aberdeenshire. What an ace community we have here 🥰

Here’s to working together (and socialising!) again soon 🥰🥰🙌🏻

We had such a special moment today walking around loch Muick. Came across this youngster and there was no where for us to go to get out of his way so we just stood still & quietly and let him pass. To be fair he could have climbed the bank to join the rest of the herd but he was quite happy just ambling past us on the path!! Incredible to be that close - if a little scary! Loved his velvet antlers. 🤎🦌

The reason I was in Glencoe was to capture some beautiful moments for my friend Kloë, her husband Josh and their baby Sorley. (They’ve chosen not to share his face online but don’t worry, I delivered plenty of smiley shots too… he is such a cute wee giggler 😆😍)

Kloë and Josh were married in this very spot two years ago, and now make the trip up to Scotland at least once a year with hopes of calling it home one day too when the time is right.

Kloë is a Sussex-based photographer, and I often send couples and families her way when I get the occasional enquiry down south so it felt extra special to be the one capturing their memories this time. And on their anniversary too 🥹

There’s something about these images that gives me such a warm, fuzzy feeling. It has to be a combination of their beautiful connection, the stunning Highlands, and those gorgeous earthy tones I’ll never get enough of 🤎

Also just a little note on outfits… they absolutely nailed it 👌🏻 What you wear really does make a difference. (Let’s just say shiny shell suits might not have had quite the same effect 🙈😆)

Buachaille Etive Mòr

Iconic and beautiful. Standing guard to the entrance of Glen Etive it means Great Herdsman of Etive in Gaelic. I think it’s possibly one of the most photographed mountains in Scotland. I couldn’t resist joining those ranks when I saw this rainbow arching towards it the other morning. 🌈🗻🤎

Some recent photos of me cos apparently I’m meant to show myself more (not more of myself 😳) on my socials. So hi there!...

Some recent photos of me cos apparently I’m meant to show myself more (not more of myself 😳) on my socials. So hi there! What do you want to know about me? Ask me anything {within reason} 😜

I love horse riding. Walking. Spending time with friends and family and no surprise here - I love photography!

I speak French and Spanish and a smidge of Italian. My Doric is also coming along affa fine. But don’t test me! 😆
