I haven’t read a book in a good… year 😬 Life has been busy and work starts way too early to read at night. But here we go, the start of many more hopefully.
The Hike is a page turner with short chapters and bags of suspense. A story of friendship, betrayal, death, grief and family all woven into the landscape of mountainous Norway.
Despite the topic it has actually made me want to get out walking! Enjoy.

KEMSING DOWNS
Daydreaming of a brighter day,
Long shadows fade by early May,
Leaves burst forth, blocking the view
Rest your legs and relax for a brew 🫖

NORTH DOWNS - ABOVE THE MIST
Take the North Downs Way East out of Otford train station and within minutes you are climbing a hill that does not seem to end. Burning legs, freezing air in my lungs, sweating red face but the one good thing was the view that I found less than a mile into my walk. This photo looks like a memory, a painting and pure nostalgia.
I was very lucky to be there to breath it in.

BIGGEST OFFENDERS

Why is it that the every litter pick I do the majority of waste I find are cans, drink bottles and crisp or other plastic wrappers?
Is it that consuming those products make you want to lob the rubbish in a bush because you feel so awful?
Comment and please help me to understand. I’m starting to get pretty unhappy about the amount of rubbish I see everywhere 😢😩🤬
