A little video from Caitlyn’s Finland adventure! 🐻

These bear cubs spent ages play-fighting and wrestling right in front of the hide, providing some fantastic wildlife behaviour to watch and photograph.

This was filmed during her stay at the Forest at Martinselkonen, where Caitlyn has enjoyed some incredible close encounters with brown bears over the last four days. Caitlyn has had an amazing time and has captured thousands of images along the way.

Today they head to Boreal for the next part of the trip, and we can’t wait to see what new wildlife and photographic opportunities await.

Mum is still on social media duty while Caitlyn is exploring the Finnish wilderness! 😊

From majestic white-tailed eagles soaring overhead to reindeer wandering through the forests and now this beautiful wild bear, she’s already had some incredible wildlife encounters.

Before some of those sightings came exciting discoveries like fresh bear paw prints in the mud.

I couldn’t resist sharing these photographs as a little sneak peek of what’s to come. There will be lots more to share when she’s back home! 🐻🇫🇮

Hi everyone, it’s Caitlyn’s mum here while she’s away in Finland

One thing anyone who knows Caitlyn will tell you is that Disney World is her absolute favourite place to visit. From the moment she walks through the gates, she’s surrounded by everything she loves - the happiness, the music, the dancing, the bright colours and, of course, the wonderful character interactions 📸

What an incredible way to begin my time in Finland!

While waiting at Helsinki Airport, I was completely taken by surprise when a lovely couple recognised me from my photography work displayed at the . To be recognised over 1,000 miles from home was something I never expected and it genuinely made my day.

As photographers, we often spend so much time behind the camera that we rarely get to see just how far our images travel or the impact they can have.

Thank you both for stopping to say hello and for your kind words. It was a pleasure to meet you, and it’s a moment I’ll remember for a very long time.

What an absolute privilege it was to be the official photographer for the Segdoune Queen Gala Day 2026 in Kilwinning.

From the excitement of the crowning ceremony to the colourful parade through the town, it was an honour to capture so many special moments that will become treasured memories for families and the community. Seeing the pride on the faces of the Queen and her attendants, the support from local businesses, the fantastic bands, community groups and the crowds lining the streets truly showed what makes Kilwinning such a special place.

A huge congratulations to the Segdoune Queen, her attendants and everyone involved in organising another fantastic Gala Day. The hard work, dedication and community spirit were evident throughout the day.

Thank you for trusting me to document such an important occasion. I loved every minute of it and I’m delighted to share some highlights from a day filled with smiles, laughter, pride and unforgettable memories.

That’s me officially off on my biggest adventure yet - 8 days in the wilds of Finland! 🇫🇮 🐻

Over the next week I’ll be sleeping out in the wilderness surrounded by nature, hoping to capture some incredible images of wild bears, wolverines, wolves and many other amazing animals along the way

This is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time and I honestly can’t wait to experience it all. From the wildlite to the landscapes and the complete wilderness, it’s going to be an unforgettable trip!

As I won’t have much WiFi while I’m away, I’ve asked my mum to keep posting some of my past images to keep everyone entertained until I’m home 📸

For those who know me, this trip is also a huge step outside my comfort zone. I’m very much a routine person, so being away from home, changing my daily routine, embracing the unexpected and spending eight days completely immersed in the wilderness is a massive challenge for me. But sometimes the biggest adventures happen when you push yourself beyond what feels comfortable, and that’s exactly what I’m doing. Hopefully I’ll return with plenty of stories, memories and some very special wildlife photographs to share with you all ❤️

📸You’ll find me at the Fair tomorrow! 📸

I’m delighted to be attending the Scottish Arts & Crafts Fair at Geilsland Estate, Beith, on Saturday 6th June from 11am–4pm.

I’ll have a range of handmade items available featuring my own photography, including:

🧲 Magnets
🔑 Key rings
🎁 And other unique gift ideas

I’ll be there at the start of the event to say hello, but then I’ll be heading off to photograph the Segdoune Queen Event in Kilwinning. Thankfully, my lovely mum will be taking over the stall for the rest of the day, so please pop by and have a browse if you’re attending.

There will be lots of fantastic stalls, food, drinks and plenty to see throughout the day, making it a great day out for all the family.

Part 2 from Knockhill Racing Circuit on 31st May 🏍📸

The day delivered more fantastic racing, with riders pushing hard for every position and producing some incredible battles throughout the field.

However, motorsport isn’t just about the racing. Following an on-track incident that brought out the red flag, it was a reminder of the vital role played by the marshals, recovery crews and medical teams. Their professionalism, teamwork and quick response helped ensure the situation was dealt with safely and efficiently.

These volunteers are the backbone of motorsport, often working behind the scenes in all conditions to keep events running and competitors safe.

A great day at Knockhill capturing not only the action on track, but also the people who make racing possible.

A very special piece of post – and the biggest secret I’ve ever had to keep!

Back in March, I had the privilege of photographing the Ardrossan Dasher memorial. Little did I know that it would lead to something truly special.

I’m incredibly honoured to have received an invitation to the Royal Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse alongside my family.

This invitation was awarded in recognition of my work photographing the Ardrossan Dasher memorial, something I am extremely proud of and never imagined would lead to such an amazing opportunity.

Keeping this a secret has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I’m finally able to share the news! I feel incredibly grateful for the recognition of my photography and community involvement.

It’s not every day that an invitation like this arrives through your letterbox, and it’s a moment I’ll never forget.

A fantastic day at Knockhill with plenty of close racing, incredible lean angles, and a few dramatic moments along the way. The warm, windy conditions made for some great racing and plenty of action around the circuit.
