• O+3 Heifers: 574.2p/kg ⬇️ 4.8p
👉 Steers and heifers came under a little pressure again this week, although the declines remain relatively modest. After several weeks of correction, the trade appears to be moving sideways rather than seeing any major shift in either direction.
Young Bulls
• R3 Young Bulls: 575.0p/kg ⬆️ 2.7p
• O+3 Young Bulls: 568.5p/kg ⬆️ 4.1p

• Heifers Average: 583.6p/kg ⬆️ 0.2p
• Young Bulls Average: 568.0p/kg ⬆️ 1.4p
👉 Overall averages edged upwards for all three categories, suggesting the wider cattle trade may finally be stabilising after the sustained easing seen through May and early June.
🐑 SHEEP MARKET
Spring Lambs (Liveweight)
• Omagh: 768–815p/kg
• Swatragh: 790–855p/kg
• Kilrea: 784–861p/kg
• Markethill: 750–851p/kg
• Saintfield: 772–850p/kg
• Rathfriland: 760–816p/kg
• Top reported price: 861p/kg at Kilrea
👉 Lamb trade remains solid, although prices have eased slightly compared to the stronger returns seen a few weeks ago. Good-quality lambs continue to attract strong competition across local marts.
Deadweight Quotes
• R3 Lamb (21 & 21.5kg): 850p/kg ⬇️ 10p
👉 Factory quotes slipped back this week, reflecting slightly easier conditions in the sheep trade compared to the strong demand seen earlier in the season.
Overall, this week’s figures suggest the beef trade may be finding a level, with average cattle prices edging upwards again. Meanwhile, the sheep trade remains healthy, although both live and factory prices have eased slightly from recent highs.
