AT LAST ! We can now reveal our big news. We are VERY, VERY excited and we think you will be too. We are relocating our framing business to THE STABLES at the HAWORTH ART GALLERY ! 🙂
You will be able to visit us to discuss all your framing, photo-restoration and video conversion requirements just as you do now but at the new workshop in the beautiful surroundings of Haworth Park. 🙂 🙂 🙂
N.B. UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST WE WILL STILL BE AT OUR CURRENT LOCATION ON BRIDGE STREET.

WOW.. We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the number of people contacting us with good wishes following Tuesdays big announcement. Thank you all so very, very much. Exciting times are ahead but until the end of August, , please remember that THE STUDIO ON BRIDGE STREET IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS AS USUAL.
We will be keeping you all regularly updated as we start the process of moving to working from home where WE WILL STILL BE OFFERING LOTS OF PHOTOGRAPHIC SERVICES, just as we always have...Just keep an eye on facebook and once more THANK YOU :-)

After 33 years of owning and running the Studio on Bridge Street Julie and I have decided to take advantage of the fact that our lease expires in mid September and make some changes to the way we do things.
We are NOT closing down but after long deliberation we have concluded that we are still able to offer most of our services whilst working from home.
We will still be offering our portrait service ( but on location at your home or favourite beauty spot ), Our ever popular photo-restoration, copying of old photo's, transfer of video to digital and commercial/ P.R. photography.
For the time being, the Studio on Bridge Street is open as normal offering our full range of services.
Please DON'T WORRY about getting in touch in future. We will be posting regular updates as various things are finalised and will be posting full details of how to contact us in the near future.
We would just like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of our customers for your friendship and loyalty and want to reassure you that we will still be available to help you with your photographic needs in the future.

What is on our minds right now is locking the door ( less than one hour to go ! 🙂 ) delivering a last few presents, going home and having a large G & T. We would just like to thank all of you who have been in our studio in 2024. We have enjoyed taking your portraits, Restoring your damaged photo's, framing your artwork as well as the ( occasionally weird 😉 ) memorabilia and all the other little things we do. MOST OF ALL THOUGH...we love meeting such a wide range of people and just having a chat. Whatever you are doing in the festive period please enjoy yourselves...you deserve it 🙂 Reg & Julie ###

IT'S PORTRAIT TIME ! 🙂 These two stunning young ladies came to visit us a few weeks ago. Not only were they superb models, making my job so easy but they also brought two gorgeous four legged friends with them, who were ALSO perfect sitters ( and will appear on this screen shortly ! ). This is one of our 'Duplex' portraits, based on a very early ( c 1910 ) colour photography process called 'Autochrome'. We thought it suited the girls looks, hairstyles and clothes perfectly and Mum agreed 🙂

Everything we frame is special for the people we are framing it for. Sometimes however we get something Extra Special to work on. Briefly, the family for whom this was done have been not only clients but also good friends for many years. Sadly the pony 'Scout' passed away recently. I have photographed Scout and his owner many times and it has been an absolute privilege to put together this memento for Ava. They were best friends and he will be sorely missed. Thank you for entrusting Julie and I with this job. It means so much to us.❤️

This last week has been chaotically busy with framing projects. Three box frames (one of them containing Ricky Hattons' glove ), one football shirt and forty two ( yes 42 ) other frames passed through our hands. We are knackered !. We can't show you the favourite one for fear of spoiling a surprise so in the meanwhile here is a restoration job we completed a month or so ago :-)

Well it's been a while since I posted, shame on me ! Been very busy with framing and portrait work and a few restorations. This was 'one of those images'...literally the only existing picture of the client with her father and it had been kept in a wallet for over 50 years. Not only torn and scuffed but soaked in oils and dirt from the leather of the wallet. It was never going to be perfect but I think I managed to make it respectable...by hand ! no AI involved 🙂

Very sad to hear that the drummer Simon Fox has passed away. Simon was a member of Be-Bop Deluxe and a terrific musician. You may or may not have heard of them but they were and are on of my favourite bands of all time. They never hit the really big time but made a small collection of fantastic and hugely influential albums in the 1970's and of course, guitarist and front man Bill Nelson is still making fabulous music to this day. Treat yourself and google them. RIP Simon.

Sometimes, just sometimes you get the perfect subject in the perfect location with the perfect light. I'm choosing to call this one 'Adventures in a Yorkshire landscape' ( if you know...you know ). And yes , it drives as well as it looks 🙂
