There’s something so special about being trusted to capture moments that mean the world to someone.

This beautiful wedding was one of those moments, full of love, happiness, laughter and memories that deserve to be remembered forever.

And, if I’m being honest, this shoot also pushed me out of my comfort zone. Trying something a little different, challenging myself creatively and trusting my eye reminded me that growth happens when we’re willing to step outside what feels familiar.

Capturing special moments isn’t just about taking a photograph. It’s about freezing a feeling in time. The smiles, the nerves, the love, the little details… all the things you’ll want to look back on years from now.

So here’s to stepping outside our comfort zones, trying new things and creating memories worth keeping.🤍

It’s taken me a good few years to feel truly confident in myself, my style, and the way I want to photograph families.

To stop comparing myself to others. To stop feeling like I need to keep up with the latest trends. And, most importantly, to realise that I don’t have to photograph families the way everyone else does.

Over time, I’ve slowly moved away from the more posed, studio style newborn sessions and leaned into what I’ve always loved most…photographing families at home, naturally and honestly, as though I’m not even there.

I want your photographs to tell a story.

I want you to look back through your gallery and remember those tiny newborn days. The way your baby felt curled up in your arms. The laughter. The little conversations. The chaos. The quiet moments. All the things that made that season of your life yours.

Imposter syndrome will probably always creep in from time to time. I think that’s just part of being creative. But I genuinely love what I do, and I feel so lucky that families trust me to document these incredibly special sessions.

And as I’ve always said, if I feel another photographer’s style would be a better fit for you and your family, I will always happily recommend them. I want you to have photographs that feel like you.

I’m forever grateful for the families who return to me year after year and allow me to document their stories as they grow. This image feels extra special because if you look closely at the shelf behind them, you can see a photograph from the very first newborn session I did for this lovely family. What an absolute privilege it is to be invited back and witness these chapters unfold. 🤍

Swipe for 2022!

Have you ever actually stopped and looked at your children? I mean really looked at them? Have you noticed the subtle changes, their faces slimming out, those legs seemingly reaching for the moon, their mannerisms changing? No? I can honestly say I haven’t either. It’s not until you take the time to look back on years gone by when we notice just how much they’re changing, and how fast!

As I always say, just take the picture! You will never truly understand just how special capturing all these moment’s are. I will never take for granted how lucky I am to play a small roll in safekeeping your family’s memory’s 🤍✨
