I captured the proposal and as many photos as we could before the storm arrived. We'd already adjusted the time of the proposal 3 times to try and avoid the stormy weather.

Some days, you've just got to go with the flow 😉😅

Yesterday's surprise proposal at the Mont-Saint-Michel was a special
one...it was during the eclipse!

With my camera settings, I could have chosen to capture the shape of the partial eclipse. This would have left the couple as silhouettes. I chose to prioritise them to capture their expressions during this unforgettable surprise moment, more detail of the seaside location, the Mont-Saint-Michel and the beautiful soft light that the eclipse created.

Eclipse photography is already a tricky thing to achieve and capturing the shape of the partial eclipse (which leaves the sky quite bright) as well as capturing people a few feet in front of you is technically impossible to
achieve it all on one shot, especially when you only have a few seconds to capture a surprise moment. Other local photographers captured some lovely shots of the eclipse at the Mont-Saint-Michel, but my priority is always going to be the couple, creating photos that they can treasure for a lifetime.

I'm here really early at the Mont Saint Michel today to do a family photo shoot that definitely has a fashion element as the mom has three changes of clothes and we're off to the famous meanders to do some pictures over there as well.
