01.01.2022 Quarantine Day 5: We're fine!

I'm back in Taiwan, but first I have to survive the mandatory quarantine of 14 days alone in a hotel room.

Due to our best friend since 2020, the big C. Taiwan has probably the strictest regulation. Transit flights are forbidden. Entry is only allowed to locals, people with permanent residence or with a visa. However, you only get a visa if, it's a humanitarian emergency, diplomatic nature or you have a family member 1. Grade in Taiwan. Everybody who enters Taiwan has to go in quarantine for 3 weeks! Isolation for two weeks plus one week with some minor restrictions.

I completed my first assignment in Taiwan.

In Taiwan, the weather is much more pleasant at night and people go out. Many people go to the night markets, located everywhere in Taiwan. Night markets have to be imagined as a mixture of funfair, weekly market, flea market and street food event. I will write make a stand alone story for the night markets in the future.

My mother-in-law operates several booths on a night market. She asked me to take some photos of the hustle and bustle at her Korean BBQ booth. The pictures are for promational use.

This night market is open every evening from Thursday to Sunday, from sunset until late in the night. The whole family helps. Three generations are preparing food every day and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. At the weekend even aunts and uncles come to help. 10 to 15 hours of work a day are no exception on the night markets but the rule.

In addition, a few pictures of a traditional market, where she buys the food for the BBQ itself. Also for the traditional markets i will make an own story.

The trip to Taiwan was long, but I have been here for a few days now and was able to acclimatize myself a bit.

I have not been able to take any pictures yet, because I also have to take on other tasks. But today I will spend the whole day with my camera on a night market.

I've also planned to do a little video of the night market, I'm curious what comes out of it and how the laptop plays along. ^^

In a few hours my i will get back to my new second home - Taiwan.

I visited Taiwan last November (2017) for the very first time. In two weeks i saw a lot of the island. This time i will live and work there for three months.

Taiwan impresses with fantastic landscaped, livley cities and above all a hitherto unknown level of hospitality.

On the 5th of May 2018 i got an opportunity to shoot my first wedding.

An old school friend of mine has been looking for a photographer for the wedding of her best freind via Facebook. Without hesitation i messaged her. I explained to her that i had no first-hand experience as a wedding photographer, but i still got the job.

I wish Nike and Basti good luck for their future.

On the 28th of April 2018 the "Sieben Türme Boxcup" went into the second round and was held in the gym World Of Punch. In different weight classes the athletes were fighting against each other in Olympic boxing. The young talents were in the focus of this event.

Thanks to ongoing support and inquiries, I will publish some of my pictures online from now on.

I plan to upload the most pictures on Facebook and also give background informations. On Twitter i want to put small updates and behind-the-scenes footage. I will also use Instagram for some images.
