Regarding my recent posts about the King’s private bedroom at Versailles, which has recently been restored and opened to the public, some of you insist that I’m wrong and that I’m confusing the rooms.

So here is a comparison of the palace's four main bedrooms, along with their locations within the palace.

1 - The King's State Bedchamber
2 - The Queen's State Bedchamber
3 - Salon de Mercure (Louis XIV's first State Bedchamber used on a few occasions)
4 - The King's private bedchamber (used by Louis XV and Louis XVI)

I live right next to the palace, I go there every week, and I've even worked there. So if you know better than I do just because you've been there once in your life, that's great, you're amazing.

Many people commented on my last post about the king’s private bedchamber, telling me I was mistaken because it was actually the queen’s chamber. Everything is clearly explained, but apparently reading three lines is too complicated for some people.

The photo on the left shows the Queen’s State Room, while the one on the right shows the King’s private room, which has just been restored and opened to the public a few days ago. These are two different rooms, each located in a different part of the palace.

It’s laughable to be fact-checked by people who visited the palace once 20 years ago, when I live right next door and go there several times a week.

Both pictures were taken by myself IN TWO DIFFERENT BEDCHAMBERS.
