One thing I love about weddings is creating these little connections with people I've only just met just for one day. It starts in the morning, joking around with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, getting to know them and making sure they feel comfortable around my camera.
And by cocktail hour, when everyone's finally relaxed, it all pays off. I love stealing a couple of minutes with the guests, finding a different angle for each couple, playing with daylight and flash, and giving them a beautiful portrait of their own.
No awkward posing, just a little trust, a few laughs, and hopefully a photograph they'll love, a souvenir of themselves at the wedding of their friends.

Some people just have that kind of presence. Michelle is one of them.
The colourful bouquet, the tattoos, the effortless elegance. Holding and comforting her baby while getting her makeup done, with an entire wedding day ahead of her.
A Colombian woman, a mother and a bride. So much strength, tenderness and character in one person.
That’s the energy I’ll remember most from Michelle & Ulrich’s wedding at Mont Leuze. What an aura.

EN • When the eyes say it first, there isn’t much left to explain.

6:25 PM. 6:26 PM. Same ceremony, almost the same moment, each of them caught in their own emotion.
I love those seconds when a face barely moves, yet everything is there. Anticipation, nerves, tenderness, the weight of what is actually happening.
Two portraits, one minute apart.
The graphic work came afterwards, simply to frame what their eyes were already saying.

18h25. 18h26. Même cérémonie, presque le même instant, chacun saisi dans sa propre émotion.
J’aime ces secondes où un visage bouge à peine, mais où tout est là. L’attente, la nervosité, la tendresse, le poids de ce qui est réellement en train de se passer.
Deux portraits à une minute d’intervalle.
Le travail graphique est venu ensuite, simplement pour encadrer ce que leurs regards racontaient déjà.

Film shouldn’t feel like a separate chapter.

I love mixing digital and analogue throughout a wedding day, but what matters most to me is that they eventually belong to the same story.
Different cameras, different textures, different ways of reacting to light, yet when the final gallery comes together, I want the transition between the two to feel almost effortless.
Film brings its grain, its softness and that little bit of unpredictability. Digital lets me react instantly to everything happening around me.

Et si votre album de mariage ressemblait davantage à un magazine ?
J’ai toujours aimé la photographie, mais le graphisme est en réalité arrivé avant.

Avant les mariages, j’ai étudié la communication et le design graphique, puis travaillé dans cet univers pour différents clients.
Alors parfois, je ne peux toujours pas m’empêcher de transformer une photo en véritable page éditoriale.

La photographie passe toujours en premier.
Le graphisme est simplement une autre manière de lui donner du rythme, du contexte et une nouvelle vie.

C’est probablement ce que je préfère dans la création de mon livre appelé Amor Fati pour mes mariés : pas de template générique, pas de mise en page copiée-collée.
Le livre prend peu à peu la personnalité des personnes qu’il raconte.

Vos goûts, votre histoire, ce que vous m’avez raconté, l’atmosphère du mariage… tout peut influencer son design.

Parfois cela donne quelque chose de très minimal.
Parfois quelque chose de beaucoup plus assumé, plus mode, plus magazine.
Et visiblement, parfois ça consiste aussi à écrire Madone vraiment, vraiment très grand.

L’idée n’est pas d’expliquer des photographies qui se suffisent déjà à elles-mêmes.
C’est de construire quelque chose autour : des mots, des respirations, des souvenirs, quelques fragments de contexte.

Pour qu’au final, cela ressemble moins à un album de mariage qu’à votre livre.
Un objet que l’on peut ouvrir, lire et redécouvrir des années plus t**d.

Can colour still feel timeless?
I often gravitate towards white and green florals. Simple, elegant, almost impossible to get wrong.
But M&U’s wedding at Mont Leuze was a reminder that colour can feel just as refined when the balance is right.
Justine from .studiofloral created this three-colour floral palette that somehow belonged perfectly to the place. Vibrant without taking over, unexpected without ever feeling too much. Against the blue of the Riviera, it just worked.
One of those floral designs that doesn’t simply decorate a setting, it becomes part of it.

Est-ce que la couleur peut rester intemporelle ?
J’ai souvent tendance à préférer les compositions blanches et vertes. C’est simple, élégant et presque impossible de faire un faux pas.
Mais le mariage de Michelle & Ulrich à Mont Leuze m’a rappelé à quel point la couleur peut être tout aussi raffinée lorsqu’elle est bien équilibrée.
Justine, d’Aeria, a imaginé cette palette florale tricolore qui semblait simplement faite pour le lieu. Colorée sans prendre toute la place, audacieuse sans jamais en faire trop. Face au bleu de la Riviera, tout fonctionnait.
Le genre de design floral qui ne vient pas simplement décorer un lieu, mais qui finit par en faire partie.

Never mess with food when the bride is Italian.
(Fulvia brought her own wheel of Parmigiano to the wedding. Enough said.)

And somehow, still managed to make dinner one of the highlights of the day. Beautiful plates, incredible flavours, and a table that looked almost too good to touch under the trees of .

I love photographing this part of weddings. The cake being cut, the first bite, hands reaching across the table, half-finished plates… with flash, those little in-between moments suddenly become some of my favourite images of the night.
