I’ve always loved flash photography. Long before weddings, I spent years shooting in the studio, learning how light can shape a subject, create atmosphere, and change the way an image feels.
Flash is having a moment again, and I’m all for it. But for me, it’s never been about following a trend.
Whether it’s natural light, direct flash, bounce flash, or off-camera flash, they’re simply different tools serving different intentions. Sometimes it’s about making a subject stand out. Sometimes it’s about creating a vintage feel. Sometimes it’s about adding an editorial touch.
At the end of the day, the goal remains the same: creating photographs that feel true to the people in front of my camera.

J’ai toujours aimé travailler avec le flash. Bien avant les mariages, j’ai passé des années en studio à apprendre comment la lumière pouvait mettre un sujet en valeur, créer une ambiance ou transformer complètement la perception d’une image.
Le flash revient aujourd’hui sur le devant de la scène, et tant mieux. Mais pour moi, il ne s’agit pas de suivre une tendance.
Lumière naturelle, flash direct, bounce flash ou flash déporté : ce sont simplement des outils différents au service d’intentions différentes. Parfois pour faire ressortir un sujet. Parfois pour apporter une touche vintage. Parfois pour créer une esthétique plus éditoriale.
Au final, l’objectif reste toujours le même : créer des images qui ressemblent vraiment aux personnes qui sont devant mon appareil.
