It’s not easy to wait for conditions like these to return❄️😍

For me, this is what winter in Lapland is all about. Northern Lights, snow-covered trees, reindeer, deep snow and those beautiful colours we get during the darkest months of the year.

January and February are still my personal favourites. There may not be much daylight, but the light we do get can be incredibly beautiful.

Most of these moments were captured around here in Ranua, a place where I’ll probably be spending quite a lot of time with my camera again this winter.

Can’t wait to have all this back. ❄️✨

Ad Most of my adventures happen when I’m travelling alone, so having something that can follow me and capture the whole experience makes a real difference.

The DJI Mini 5 Pro is small enough to carry anywhere, quick to launch and lets me capture both horizontal and true vertical footage without having to crop the image afterwards.

From autumn landscapes to low-light skies and the Northern Lights, it allows me to travel light and still come home with the shots I wanted.

Such an amazing way to start the Northern Lights season at Lupland Resort early on Saturday morning here in Ranua. 🇫🇮✨

The sky is dark enough for only about two hours at the moment, but the nights are getting darker fast. In just two months, we’ll already have more than 12 hours of darkness.

Can’t wait to experience nights like this with snow! ❄️💚

This is what winter in Lapland looks like❄️

Snow-covered forests, frozen lakes and proper cold winter days. Reindeer, huskies, ice fishing, snowmobiling and skating on natural ice. 🔥

And when the daylight disappears, the blue hour takes over followed by dark Arctic skies, stars and, if nature decides, the Northern Lights dancing above you. ✨

No need to rush from one place to another. In Ranua, winter is all around you.

This is a real winter wonderland. ❄️✨

My personal favourites are January and February. There’s usually plenty of snow, the trees are covered in thick snow, and everything around you is completely white.

I live in Ranua, and this area is especially perfect for those magical, snow-covered winter landscapes. 🤍❄️

We had one of the best berry seasons in years, and of course I filled my freezer for the winter. 🫐
There were especially plenty of wild blueberries, cloudberries and raspberries this year.

I also filmed two longer videos from my berry-picking trips, and I’ll share them as soon as I have time to edit them.
