- Close - On this hike, I came across these beautiful roots. Their quiet lines immediately caught my attention, so I stopped to photograph them.

There was something peaceful in their shapes, a sense of stillness, slow growth, and being deeply rooted.

They made me think about my own roots. Where are they?

Sometimes I feel like a rootless nomad, belonging to no single place. And yet, wherever I go, I find a sense of home in nature.

Perhaps that is where my roots are.

Nature is my home.

Tunturilla (On the Fell)

This summer, I spent more than two weeks in nature, from Central Finland through the western coast to eastern Lapland. During my pilgrimages, I strived to capture the landscape, my connection with it, and the inner landscapes into which this connection initiated me.
It was truly uplifting to wake up among the trees, listen to the birds or the waves of the sea, and to be with them, to become a little like them.

Tunturilla is one of the works from my new series, in which I make visible not only the experiencer, but also the seen and the experienced.

Rakkaat Hellsinki Metal Festival ihmiset 🖤 En oikein tiedä, mistä aloittaa. Mieletön viikonloppu takana, ja on vaikea kuvailla sanoin, kuinka kiitollinen olen kaikista kohtaamisista ja kohottavista palautteista, joita sain teiltä!! Oon ihan äärimmäisen kiitollinen teille kaikille🖤

Iso kiitos ja Hellsinki Metal Festival tästä upeasta mahdollisuudesta osallistua valokuvillani Suomen parhaalle metallifestarille. Kiitos aivan superlahjakkaalle taiteilijaille, naapurimyyjälle Julialle (käykää katsomassa hänen töitä!!) ja hänen crewilleen superihanasta seurasta. Ja Kiitos kaikille rakkaille ystäville, jotka tulivat moikkaamaan. ❤️ Tietenkin myös upeille kanssataiteilijoille, niin mielettömiä töitä teillä, ja oli ilo tutustua teihin. Olisi ollut kiva ehtiä jutella enemmänkin, m***a toivottavasti siihen tulee vielä mahdollisuus. 🖤 Kiitos te upeat bändit! Toitte aivan ainutlaatuista energiaa meille metalheadeille 🖤

Mä oon vielä vähän siinä tilassa, että mitä hittoa juuri tapahtui. Tarvitsee ainakin muutamia päiviä käsitellä tätä kaikkea. M***a halusin tulla sanomaan: Kiitos koko Hellsinki Metal Festival porukka🖤
