Cats of Cihangir (and a couple of others).

I struggled to stay focused in sightseeing with so many beautiful cats around. One cat climbed onto my lap for a little nap on our last night in Istanbul. Was that the icing on the already very delicious cake for me? Maybe.

Very exciting news! I’ll be running a Crackers and Crowns sewing workshop at Whistlebare Fold in Berwick-upon-Tweed on Sunday the 15th November.

I’m beyond thrilled to have this opportunity to share my love of sewing and crafts with others!

When I moved to the UK I was amazed by the wide open landscapes. And I still am because they are incredibly beautiful. These vast spaces are not something I had seen much back at home in Finland as my home country is covered by trees. For a while I found forests a little boring. ”Been there done that” kind of thing. But whilst forest bathing last weekend, it finally hit me how much I miss forests, the smell and the feeling of being embraced by them. Feeling safe and relaxed under the canopy. Forests are home.

Beautiful evening light yesterday after the torrential rain in the morning. My phone camera isn’t good enough to capture all the little mosquitoes and other bugs merrily dancing in the sunlight.
