I began my professional photography career in the mid-'90s. Around the same time, I started conducting interviews and writing concert and album reviews. I vividly recall my first authentic interview, which took place with Ronnie James Dio around 1997. Presently, I occasionally contribute to various media outlets. The first one I started with is/was the Canadian-based webzine www.Metal-Rules.com, w

here I've been active since 1999. I've published hundreds of articles featuring interviews with some of the biggest names in the industry. In 2004, my collaboration extended to the Spain-based print magazine THIS IS ROCK. The partnership originated when THIS IS ROCK's editor-in-chief, Juan-Carlos Perez, came across my Accept interview on Metal-Rules.com and sought permission to republish it in his magazine. This marked the commencement of our enduring collaboration. The third outlet is the Finnish media Imperiumi, one of the largest and longest-running platforms in Finland's music scene. Imperiumi maintains close ties with companies such as LiveNation, major labels, and festivals in Finland. In 2021, I joined forces with KaaosZine, which is currently Finland's largest music media outlet. I've also contributed to various other media, including Inferno, Metalliluola, and SUE. While my primary occupation lies in IT, photography is my true passion. This motivated me to create this page and share my experiences and articles.

David Uosikkinen Recalls Working on Alice Cooper’s ‘The Last Temptation,’ Discusses His Finnish Roots and the Future of The Ho***rs’

David Uosikkinen has been the drummer of The Ho***rs since the band was formed in Philadelphia in 1980. The band found major success in the mid-1980s with songs such as And We Danced, All You Zombies and Day by Day. The Ho***rs also opened the historic Live Aid concert in Philadelphia in 1985 and built a strong following in Europe.

But Uosikkinen’s career has also taken him into some unexpected places. During the sessions for Alice Cooper’s 1994 album The Last Temptation, he ended up playing drums on the record. Now, with The Ho***rs approaching their 50th anniversary, Uosikkinen is looking ahead while also reconnecting with his Finnish roots. During a recent visit to Helsinki, he talked about the band’s secret show in Kaivopuisto, working with Alice Cooper and Chris Cornell, the future of The Ho***rs, and his wish to become a Finnish citizen again.
