Planning a trip to Barcelona or a road trip through Catalonia? Add Reus to your itinerary!

Often overlooked in favour of Barcelona, Reus turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of my trip through Catalonia.

As the birthplace of Antoni Gaudí, the city has a fascinating connection to the world-famous architect. But there’s so much more to discover: gorgeous Catalan Modernist architecture, charming squares, colourful façades, local markets and, of course, the city’s famous vermouth.

And if you love architecture, you absolutely cannot miss Casa Navàs. Wait until you see the incredible interior!

The best part? Reus feels much more relaxed and authentic than Barcelona, while still offering plenty to see and do. One full day is perfect for discovering its highlights.
