Scouting for new locations, yesterday I had a walk in S'albufereta between Pollensa and Alcudia. A highly recommended place, but be aware of the mosquitos. You need some repellent if you want to last more than five minutes. Definitely coming back today for a proper photo session.

Sunrise in Puerto Pollensa, which one do you prefer?

Puig María, just outside Pollensa Old Town, a nice walk just under an hour from the car park.

At midday, looking for my next photo location, I decided to walk up the Puig Maria, even during the day with not the best sun conditions is totally worth it

You could say this is “the other Mallorca”, not just a nice beach but a whole island to discover.

One minute exposure of a lonely buoy floating in the middle of the Pollensa Bay.

Instead of a landscape orientation I decided to go for a 4x5 to get something simple, with not that many distractions in the background. I find this type of photography maybe not so impressive, but more relaxing.

Once again a colourful sunset from the Real Club Náutico Puerto Pollensa.
By the way, even though I’m using a 10 stops filter, the water in the Pollensa Bay is really that peaceful. Once the thermal wind is gone, the water is really still. During the day it’s a paradise for sailing, but in the early and later hours, it’s perfect for some paddling with an SUP.

As you can see, they Pollensa Bay will give you a wide range of colours, in this case we had a golden sunset.

Quite a change from the usual landscape, sometimes I enjoy a portrait session, specially if I can still play with the sun.

Just about everyday you get great light in Mallorca for an outdoor session. This photo is from April, a great morning with fellow photographer (great person to have your outdoor or studio session in Mallorca, check his profile).

Model: the really patient , great at posing with minimal direction 👍

If you enjoy a sunset surrounded by boats I recommend the Real Club Náutico de Puerto Pollensa.
The Pollensa Bay is one of those amazing places that give you both sunsets and sunrises, great blue and golden hour.
