Trying to get better at showing my work instead of filing it under “things I do every week and then immediately forget to mention”.

I’ve been writing features and columns for the Majorca Daily Bulletin for more than 15 years now, which is worrying when I remember I still feel like I’m winging it some weeks.

This week’s piece was with Colin Charvis, former Wales rugby captain, talking about cycling, community, sport, ageing, friendship, mental health, and why putting yourself in a lycra-based situation with other humans can be surprisingly good for the soul.

I love getting to tell these kinds of stories. Real people, real lives, real conversations, and usually at least one moment where I think, “Oh, that’s the bit.”

So yes, this is me attempting to stop hiding my light under a bushel. Or at least poking it out from underneath the bushel and seeing what happens.

Last minute booking for a sunset party photos last night in (apparently) the house which Justin and Hailey Bieber stayed in last week! The birthday girl had already checked the drawers, no socks were left behind!

So, I got the chance to go the venue last night to shoot the acts and guests at the for .

This venue is soooo nice! Ollie and I were very impressed by its outdoor festival summer vibe, just hiding in plain sight in Magaluf. If you get the opportunity to go to an event there, GO. Really fab space.

AND the acts were all fantastic.

Congrats to playing on his biggest stage yet, Mallorca's hometown boy is hitting the big time! Big up to for just being sooo cool, and saying hi from the stage was really fun! Ticked Shalimar off the list, not seen them before, bit of soul history right there. SOOO happy to have got the opportunity to listen to who won't know that his album in 1997 dragged me through one of the saddest and hardest years of my life. It was a nice full circle moment to get to listen to him singing my "you can get through this sh*tstorm" song with my lovely husband beside me! And as always, it was super nice to see so many familiar faces and friends. Thanks to everyone who posed for me, all the photos from that night will be on their channel and website on Monday I think.

It was so good to be shooting live music again after such a long time off. Reminded me how much I love live performance and events. ❤

An evening of connection, and creativity.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Cor(e) in Binissalem for a powerful evening of readings from Growing Through Grief (Amanda Butler, Glynis German Celebrant, Linda Ledwidge, Vic McLeod and Stephanie Schulz) and Unsent Letters by Heather Smith.
