Somewhere in Mallorca, between the Tramuntana mountains, the Mediterranean and one very beautiful finca, someone was about to have a very important question to answer.
He got down on one knee.
She said yes.
And, thankfully, nobody had to pretend to be surprised. 😄
The setting was Son Bunyola, Richard Branson Mallorcan hideaway, a place he describes as his “favourite Spanish retreat.”
And honestly, after spending an evening here, I can see why.
The story of Son Bunyola Hotel & Villas is almost as beautiful as the setting itself. A historic 16th-century finca, lovingly restored over more than 20 years and surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains and the Mediterranean.
But on this particular evening, none of that really mattered.
Because for two people, this wasn’t about the history of the finca, the views, or even the spectacular sunset.
It was about a little black box.
A question.
And the answer that changes everything.
A few hours later, they were dancing by the pool, wearing the kind of smiles that are very difficult to photograph without smiling yourself.
So, Richard, I think you might be right about this place.
It really is a pretty special one. 🤍
