Abandoned places are full of distractions.

Broken windows, peeling paint, debris everywhere.

The trick is finding one composition that makes all that chaos feel organized.

Niki Feijen captured this with the Irix 11mm, using the symmetry of the building to let the architecture speak for itself.

Astrophotography teaches you one thing pretty quickly.

Patience.

You spend more time waiting, checking the forecast, and hoping the clouds stay away than you do pressing the shutter.

Dionisis Eleftheriadis captured this with the Irix 30mm, and I'd say the wait was worth it.

Winter landscapes can be frustrating to photograph.

Everything looks white until the light starts doing its thing.

That's when the scene comes together.

Captured by with the Irix 11mm, making the most of those few minutes when the sky and the snow finally work together.

Architecture doesn't give you much to hide behind.

If the composition is off, you notice it straight away.

That's what we like about shooting buildings. It forces you to slow down, look at the lines, and keep moving until everything clicks.

David FilmMaker captured this with the Irix Cine 15mm.

Here's a landscape photography habit worth stealing:

Don't stop at the first viewpoint.

Walk a little farther. Change your angle. Get lower. Wait a few more minutes. That's usually where the better photo is.

Dmitry Kupratsevich did exactly that with the Irix 15mm f/2.4, turning a waterfall and a dramatic sky into a frame that's hard to scroll past.

Some landscape photos work because of the light.

The best ones work because the light is under control.

Robert Pilari used the Irix EDGE GND filter to hold back the bright sky while keeping detail in the foreground, creating a balanced image straight out of the camera.

Challenge for macro photographers:

Find something that usually gets ignored.

A bee. A flower. A leaf. Then get close enough to show people something they wouldn't notice with the naked eye.

That's exactly what this shot with the Irix 150mm f/2.8 Macro is all about.

Long exposure doesn't have to mean waiting for sunset.

An ND1000 filter lets you slow the shutter down even in daylight, turning moving water into a smooth, clean scene while keeping everything else sharp.

Raffaele Manuel Cabras captured this using the Irix 15mm and Irix EDGE ND1000 filter.

Confession:

Macro photography has made me stop and photograph things I would've walked past a year ago.

A single flower. One petal. The tiny details hiding in plain sight.

That's exactly what was captured with the Irix 150mm f/2.8 Macro.

Snow has a way of making every photo look clean.

Getting people in exactly the right spot before they ski out of the frame... not so much.

Kuba Witos timed this perfectly with the Irix 15mm f/2.4, using the wide angle to show both the scale of the forest and the skiers making their way through it.
