The thing that jumps forefront to my mind when I think of the San Francisco is Mr Darcy saying with supremely relatable awkwardness that, ‘the hills in this city can be quite unforgiving’ in an episode of the The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I didn’t take his advice and so I walked. My favourite street photographs from my meander down (and up) San Fran's city centre - http://bit.ly/SANFRAN1

It was actually thanks to Yuri on ICE setting the Grand Prix Final there that I was even interested in travelling to Barcelona, let alone during the hottest period of European summer. But going into the city with zero expectations meant I enjoyed its lurid, complex vibrancy much more than I thought I would. Five lessons I took away from (and a lot more photographs): http://bit.ly/BARCASR

Photographs from the Senior Short Programs at the Australian Figure Skating Nationals 2018.

The competition was held at Macquarie Ice Rink - a source of so many childhood memories, birthday parties and a vital training ground for raising Australian talent in various winter sports. It now faces potential demolition as part of an upgrade plan for Macquarie Shopping Centre.

In a long period of travel, it's easy to reach a 'burnout' point and was unfortunately the country that took the brunt of it this trip. I was very tired by the time I reached Berlin and Hamburg, but I'm glad I picked them; they were so different in many ways. , the quintessential introvert and , my Pokemon-esque designed 'self care' home that helped ward off sickness and revive me so I was refreshed and ready for the next leg.

My photos, thoughts and recommendations on introversion and preventing burnout in my latest two blog posts:

Thanks PhotographyTalk 💕 Their article on Rule of Thirds takes a more comprehensive look into this particular rule. Check it out: https://www.photographytalk.com/beginner-photography-tips/7148-the-rule-of-thirds

So you've got a camera - yay! Now, how do you take good photos?   There is no definitive rulebook to good photos but just like in any creative pursuit, there are some basic principles that you should know so that when you do  bend or break the rules, you're doing it with knowl

You know those cities that feel like they had been designed in a dollhouse and then just expanded until they were life sized? Tallinn’s Old Town gave off that exact feeling, full of pastel wonders in architecture that had me bossing around at practically every doorway ✨ I’m working hard on my Tallinn blog post compiling all the things we found on a full (FULL) day of walking (when you travel with Noora, you walk a LOT 😂) - any requests?

How do I sum up the last 7 months in Europe? I can’t, I really can’t — there are people, places and memories I will cherish for a lifetime and transformations in my view of the world that I feel like I will be uncovering slowly for years to come. I’m just so unbelievably thankful and blessed that it happened. Thank you, in all the languages ♥️ And hello from Chicago 👋🇺🇸 excited to explore the States for the first time in my life over the next 2 months ✨

Circle theme is everything - the is hands down one of my favourite art galleries. Full of light, open spaces, a great collection (loved their Monets in particular) that I could get through before I hit my 3hr ‘sensory overload’ threshold. Really loved some of their lesser known works in the collection, including Toulouse-Laurence (of course), Philippe de Laszlo’s ‘La comtesse Anna de Noailles’ and Jean Béraud's ‘Une soirée’. Make sure you don’t miss their Gustav Courbet collection either - larger than life and absolutely mind blowing to see in person ✨✨

How do you make a visit to some of the most visited, most photographed places in the world feel personal and meaningful? I talk about battling art gallery and museum fatigue in my latest .com blog post and share my favourite photos from the Louvre. This was taken in the sculpture wing which I probably would have straight up missed if I hadn’t been with my friends - it leads into the atrium below the two smaller pyramids and was one of my favourite places in the Louvre 🇫🇷✨
