On a not-so-quiet street in the center of Arequipa, lies Indigo.

Una cocina de autor que toma la belleza de comida Arequipeña and expands its flavors to create a sensory journey through its dishes.

From the smoky flavors of their Conchas Carbon with crema de Rocoto y ajo crocante, to their Tiradito Nikkei which exploded with ponzu, and ending with their Fideua featuring bonito escabechado on a bed of creamy ramen noodles—this dinner kept us on our toes.

Un dia por Yanahuara.

One of my favorite neighborhoods in Arequipa is characterized by white Sillar, artisinal stands, clay handiwork, and events on any given Sunday.  Taken in the span of a few hours, the above captures a typical weekend day strolling through this beloeved neighborhood.  Throwback to 2024.  Coming soon: THE FOOD

Playing with fire in a cafe in Arequipa, Peru.

I've really grown to love my 35mm, even though it's taken a little bit (ok, a lot) of practice. It's been a journey learning what works and what doesn't. Those 'aha' moments where I capture the dreamy bokeh or the crisp portrait shot...

Welcome to one of the best meals I've had in my life.

This is Tomo, located in the heart of Miraflores, this Nikkei restaurant brilliantly weaves Japanese and Peruvian flavors together to create something unforgettable. From the first bites of oyster in ponzu to the nigiri carretillero, this meal was an adventure from start to finish.

Pair with your favorite dry rose and you have yourself the perfect experience.
