ā€œI Will Carry Your Cloudā€

Russian war in Ukraine is something that demands action from all of us. I've donated approximately 15 000 EUR to the people who are fighting for our peace in Europe. The major part of that money came from art auctions where my photos were sold for 1500-2500 EUR. I'm proud of that.

Connecting to that, one of the most inspiring moments in my year was when unexpectedly started bidding at the auction on a photo of mine that I love. And she went all the way. Now I live in a home with a photo I've shot that doesn't belong to me. But if art can feed people and help fight for their freedom and ours then I'll happily keep donating everything I create.

I was shooting in the studio after 10+ year hiatus. Thank you, my dear Dionne, for pushing the limits of your comfort zone and letting me capture you the way I see you. 😊🄰

End of last year Fotoluks - valgustab Sind fotoalal borrowed me Fujifilm GFX 100s for testing. So I asked two people to join me in a studio. This is the first post with the results—the other one coming a bit later.

Fujifilm GFX 100S was a beast, and I enjoyed it a lot. Fastest medium format I’ve used. 100 MP sensor was also fun.

I’ve been shooting Leica for 5+ years now and I think Leica is a better match for my style of photography, but I recommend everyone in the industry to check and try this camera out, especially if you have been shooting Fuji, Nikon or Canon. Super fun camera šŸ’Æ

Thank you for trusting your home with my art Karoli Hindriks. I hope this frozen millisecond of peace captured in the middle of chaos will inspire many great and beautiful moments 😊

This piece has been in production for a while, as all of it, from the cotton paper, UV protective glass, and handcrafted frame is museum-grade production. It’s finally ready. This is one of my favorite feelings ever, seeing the vision come together.

When I decided to leap into the fine art photography world I underestimated the complexity and beauty of good print production. Thankfully DieselArts - Craftrag is an awesome production partner to guide me through this complexity. šŸ¤ŸšŸ¼

PS! Technically this picture categorizes under street-photography, as it's a captured millisecond in a very busy Fotografiska Tallinn restaurant bar area when the waitress had put the drinks down, but the couple had not sat down at the table yet. Beautiful silent universe hidden in a millisecond, in a room otherwise full of chaos. These hidden moments are all around us in our everyday life, but they are damn hard to notice, so I was lucky to capture one for you.
