With a father from Bangladesh, a Danish mother, and me being born in London, UK and moving to Denmark at age 6, naturally I was internationally influenced from the beginning. Even lived and worked in London for a year from 84-85 and spent more than a year in Los Angeles from 94-95 trying to make it as a songwriter (did not make it :-)). My real adventure started at age 24. I wanted to challenge my
self and do something out of the ordinary, so I quit my job and booked open flight tickets around the world, no accommodation and got ready to travel the world alone in 1989. I did not realize what I had done, until I found myself crying on the streets of Bangkok late in the evening, not knowing what to do. There was no way back and luckily some nice people told me to go to Kao Sang Road where all the backpackers were and from then on, everything went smoothly. I met backpackers from around the world and sometimes I travelled alone and now and then with others. I travelled through Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Hawaii and ended my trip in Los Angeles, US. After returning to Denmark, I chose the adventures life and promised myself that travel should always be first priority for the rest of my life. I skipped the steady life, mainly had temporary jobs and travelled in between jobs – at least 3 times a year and have now visited more than 60 countries. I always carried a camera with me and photographed nature, animals and landscapes.
