It’s world bicycle day. Forget about spaceships and AI. The bike is the greatest machine ever created by man. Period. Keep riding no matter how and what - as long as it has two wheels and your legs are moving. These were shot on a day on the West Coast of Denmark for where just got to do his CX thing on the beach. All gas no brakes. Not the best places to ride a bike but probably the most fun place! A day that solidified the simply joy of riding with no end goal other than enjoying the feeling of riding a bike 💫

Being in Greenland feels like being on a different planet. Then running three consecutive ultra-marathons totalling 160 km through the brutal arctic backcountry is a whole different story. Even just following the race being transported by ATV or snowmobile was tough. Especially given the -30 Celsius conditions. Think we all got home with a bit of frostbite and some incredible experiences in the bag. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks for having me ☃️🇬🇱🎥

Zegama is Zegama. A truly special place and a truly special race. A few shots from last year filming for an upcoming short doc with about giving space to what’s important in life. ‘Heartliner’ is coming out later this year. Good luck to all the runners tomorrow - enjoy it (as much as possible)!

On paper two of my least favorite things: running and being far from nature. But you make me want to run the streets of my home town. Almost. Ran a marathon once by myself and doubt I will ever do it again. One of the hardest things I’ve done. Chapeau to everyone who crossed the finish line no matter the time!

Going back into thin air through the archive. A weird yearning to go back to places that are uncomfortable by nature. But something magical happens in the high mountains. Something that’s hard to explain. Like waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air. Hopefully I will be back soon 🇳🇵🎥

Looking back on warmer days shooting for and . Was incredible to see the excitement in (CX boss) eyes when he played around in the dunes and on the beach. A place most cyclists would consider a nightmare for riding a bike but Mike continuously made what I looked at as unrideable rideable. Every time I asked “could you do that again?” He replied “Sure!” with excitement in his Canadian accent. CX riders are built different.

It was a labor of love that unfolded today. The Danish team (including staff) gave it their all. At first it was bitter seeing bronze drift away. Literally. But seeing being greeted by his team mates after crossing the line in fourth it was clear that the result (almost) didn’t matter. It was more the camaraderie and satisfaction you can only get when you gave it your all. Together. Seeing the whole team working hard for their common dream was exemplified by lugging bottles up the cobbled climb again and again knowingly burning himself to the ground. There may only be one winner in cycling but it takes a village

"Playing on the Edge" is now live.
The film follows on his quest to run around the Danish island of Bornholm (114 km) in under 24 hours. David is a lifelong cyclist but a novice runner, so the challenge also becomes a personal journey of trying new things and embracing experimentation as an adult.
Although he had completed a few marathons before, anything beyond 42.2 km was uncharted territory. The goal of the run was not only to complete the loop but also to reclaim a sense of playfulness in a world often dominated by seriousness.
However, the run turned out to be a more serious endeavor than he had anticipated.

A few visual impressions from - when a race is literally meters from your front door it is mandatory to go and watch. And shoot a few photos. Always impressive to see riders blasting up the only "hill" in Copenhagen (although it's located in Frederiksberg but that's a discussion for the locals). Congrats to with the win and congrats with signing off on an incredible career . Chapeau!
