Winter Sky on Fire – Swiss Alps🇨🇭

This is probably one of the most colorful series I’ve posted on Social Media… or ever will!

The winter in the Alps definitely wasn’t about perfect snow conditions this time… But the sky this year gave everything it had! One of those sunsets where nature decides to steal the show, and all you can do is stand there and watch. Colors so intense they felt unreal, spreading across the peaks like a slow-burning fire. Deep purples, pinks, glowing oranges, shifting every minute, making it impossible to look away.

Hope you’ll enjoy this winter selection. From Laax with love♥️

Moody Days at the Isle of Skye.

Some places look even better in bad weather, and Skye is definitely one of them. Low clouds, rolling mist, and a vibrant green colour - it all adds to the atmosphere. The rain comes and goes, the wind is always around, and the landscape feels raw and untouched.

If you've always wanted to visit this magical place, now’s your chance! Together with Patryk Biegański - fotografia and Warsztat Przygód - podróże poza szlakiem, we’re organising a trip to Scotland this May! Drop me a message for more details!

Welcome to Petra, the lost city and one of the oldest in the world!

Over 7,000 years ago, the Nabataeans carved this city into rose-colored sandstone cliffs, earning it the nickname "Rose-Red City."With a theatre for 8,000 people, homes, pharmacies, a vibrant center, the Treasury and Monastery built with nothing but hands, it was a marvel of ancient engineering.Imagine, they even constructed an advanced network of aqueducts, cisterns to manage water in the desert, supporting a population of up to 30,000. It's tough to do even with all the machineries we have today and this is why Petra was voted as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World!

Two main structures are The Treasury (more widely recognised) and The Monastery (arguably more beautiful than the Treasury itself)

The Treasury (Al-Khazneh): It is the first iconic structure most visitors see when entering Petra. Found near the end of the Siq Canyon around 2km from the Main entrance.

The Monastery (Ad-Deir): Located further into Petra is much less accessible, requiring a climb to reach. Depending on the route you’ll choose (which I’ll tell you about later on) you would need to hike around 6-7 km one way. The Monastery is simpler in design and significantly larger than the Treasury (about 50 meters wide and 45 meters tall) It’s open location, which provides more beautiful light and the fact that there are much less visitors there, making it a popular subject for photography.

Here’s a little sneak peek of this magical destination that takes you back in time.

You may have heard that Bárðarbunga volcano is waking up again!

An unusually intense earthquake swarm has been detected in the Bárðarbunga volcanic system, with around 130 quakes recorded yesterday morning, including several at magnitude >3.

This activity resembles the lead-up to the 2014–2015 Holuhraun eruption – one of Iceland's most significant volcanic events in recent history. The eruption began on August 29, 2014, and lasted 6 months. It was triggered by magma moving from the Bárðarbunga caldera to the Holuhraun fissure, located north of the Vatnajökull glacier.

During the eruption, energy equivalent to 120 megatons of TNT per hour was released. To put this in perspective, the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima released 15 kilotons. The eruption produced 1.44 km³ of lava, covering 84 km², leaving behind a barren, alien-like lava field. The main crater that was created, Baugur, - one you see on first picture - stands at 100 meters tall!

Bárðarbunga is Iceland’s most extensive volcanic system, stretching 190 km. Over the last 1100 years, it has seen 27 known eruptions! It’s a wild adventure to get to this place. The mountain road that leads there is not even an f-road, and is extremely challenging due to its remote location, rough and steep terrain, sharp volcanic rocks, river crossings, and unpredictable conditions.

Are we witnessing the start of another historic event?

When the landscape look more like Mars than Earth, you know you’re in for an unforgettable adventure!

This photoshoot for Front Runner Outfitters Europe took us deep into Iceland’s volcanic heart—a place where raw beauty and untamed terrain push both vehicles and gear to their limits. Capturing the raw power of nature against the strength and versatility of these setups was a challenge, but one we were excited to take on.

Here’s a glimpse into this incredible location in Iceland, where the scenery really feels like out of this world.

Meet the Aletsch Glacier: frosty superstar, the largest glacier in the Alps!

_____
Poznajcie Lodowiec Aletsch: to szwajcarska lodowa gwiazda – największy w całych Alpach!
