My book "After Exposure – A Cyclopedia of Broken Cameras" is finally on its way after the Kickstarter campaign. 200 backers in 28 countries. Singapore, New Zealand, Brazil, China, United Arab Emirates, USA, The Philippines, Russia and Hong Kong, to name a few. The interest in our obsolete machines from a recent past seems quite universal. If you like to get a copy mail me at [email protected]. A book release is planned to take place at (Malmö, Sweden) beginning of June. More event info to come!

A new book is in the making. It's about the remains of a camera workshop. Christer Andersson started repairing cameras in 1957. Now the workshop has closed and his scrap depot from six decades has ended up at my home. I have made a dive into this discard, undertaken some kind of archaeological survey. Dan Jönsson has written an essay on the increasingly troublesome metabolism of our civilization. I will publish the book after a Kickstarter campaign that will be launched Feb 12. If this sounds interesting – if you want to pre-order a copy – keep an eye out for the upcoming campaign of AFTER EXPOSURE - A CYCLOPEDIA OF BROKEN CAMERAS.

NIKON F-401 (1987–1990)
”The F-401 introduced the thumbwheel, replacing the traditional aperture ring on the lens. As cameras were equipped with an increasing array of electronic functions, they were simultaneously stripped of the trademarks of the mechanical era. On the F-401 there was no rewind knob—an electric motor did the job of rewinding the film.”

AFTER EXPOSURE – A CYCLOPEDIA OF BROKEN CAMERAS.
Praktica SUPER TL3 (1978–1980) from the upcoming Kickstarter book launch. An archeological investigation of a camera workshop’s remains.
Camerarepairman’s comment:
"Why it's called SUPER is anybody's guess. It had a tractor feel to it. The best thing about these cameras was the lenses"
