I dag udgiver Ensemble Hermes deres første album sammen med Christian Balvig! Og det vil jeg stærkt anbefale, at man går ind og lytter til på diverse platforme og til koncerterne, bl.a. i Musikhuset Aarhus næste lørdag. De er nogle henrivende mennesker, både indeni og udenpå, og så er de nogle afsindigt dygtige musikere.

Another few portraits from 4 years ago when I created my alter ego 'Malte Bülow Photography' and became a professional photographer. My first real portrait session was probably in 2018 with who I still collaborate with today ❤️

For many years prior I had experimented with analogue and art photography in the dark rooms and a lot of nature and wildlife photography with hours and hours spent in nature with my cameras. Besides the art and nature photography, I began taking portraits and drone photos and videos as well. I never had a clear plan, but just did what was offered to me and what felt right. Photography was a passion, so it felt natural, although it was difficult running a business in the beginning.

Happy anniversary to a stupid decision 📸❤️🎉 4 years ago today on the 1st of May 2022 I started my photography business and became a freelancer. I don't exactly know what a 'lancer' is, but I really like the 'free' part of it...

I had of course been taking photos for years prior, but making it official and beginning to live off of my hobby as a professional photographer was probably one of the craziest and most stupid ideas I ever had. I've learned that doing stupid things and risking everything is a good idea. And I love that I did it though it was very scary, intimidating and difficult.

In my work I meet so many incredibly nice and interesting people, and experience so many fantastic things. Of course it is sometimes also a hassle, but that's just how it is.

I'm still very happy I did that very stupid thing, and I can't wait for what the next 4 years entails!

Thank you to everyone of you, especially those who have hired me and followed me through this, I hope we have even more fun and creative moments together in the future ❤️

Aarhus - marts 2026

Kæmpebygninger skyder op mange steder i Aarhus for tiden.
Byens horisont ændrer sig næsten fra måned til måned.

Nye boligkvarterer, kontorhuse og markante højhuse rejser sig,
og kranerne er blevet en fast del af udsigten.

Ældre bygninger og arkitektur ligger dog fast rundt omkring i byen.

Tidligere dronevideoer viser en helt anden skyline. Det bliver interessant at se tilbage på den her video om et par år.
