Himeji Castle is definitely one one the most beautiful castles I have ever seen and the largest in Japan. A marvelous day trip from Kyoto, or stop by when you are traveling to the south. Unfortunately we did not make it on time for the cherry blossom season when this place becomes even more amazing.
