A friend spent weeks hand-sewing and embroidering this creature. Somewhere between the workshop and me, it disappeared in the post.

No photo exists. No scene in the water. Just this place, still waiting.

She’s already starting on the next one.

Which creature should light up next?

One take, no cuts in between. Above, the wave breaks. Then the camera goes under, and the chaos turns into slow motion. I love this moment most: the water closes like a curtain, and everything slows down. Luna lights up. Then this exact image is what’s left. No compositing, one camera, one light. Save this for the moment you go under yourself.

For the first time, the LumiJelly leaves the pool.
No wall, no floor. Only open water. And Nici 😁.
In the lake the light behaves differently. A halo forms around the bell, and the glow reads as more alive, more bioluminescent than any pool could allow.
Here light stops being illumination and becomes language: a reaching, an answering.
Everything in-camera. One single moment. Nothing composited.

This isn’t a sunset.
It’s an eclipse — photographed where it’s never meant to be bright.
What reads as a horizon above water is the surface seen from beneath. A single point of light in complete darkness, and beside it: weightlessness, stillness, and a glow that was built, not found — a LumiVerse sculpture, handcrafted to shine where the sun gives out.
Eclipse — a LumiVerse work.
Which moment pulls you deeper: the light above, or the silence below?

„Are those real jellyfish?“

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been asked that. This time it was a professor and engineer — not easily fooled.

They’re not. Every single one was built by hand. Designed, constructed, waterproofed, and lit from within (Aurora: Pro Max 2). Meet Aurora, Rosetta and Violetta — the LumiJellys.

This week I received three design certificates from the German Patent and Trademark Office. One for each.

Sometimes the most convincing creatures are the ones that never existed.

Floating in an underwater reverie 🪼

When my LumiJellys met the ethereal designs of – pure magic happened. A collaboration of light, fabric, and movement.
Thank you for bringing this vision to life!
