You know that feeling when something tells you to pay attention? Yeah… that happened at Lago di Braies. 😂
It was one of those quiet spring mornings in the Dolomites that almost doesn’t feel real. Barely anyone around. Snow still sitting on the mountains. The lake completely calm. Everything soft, peaceful, and still.
And then across the lake, I noticed a couple with their dog 🐶
At first it was just little things — the way they were holding hands, how nervous and excited he looked, the way they kept pausing to just take in the moment together. And suddenly my proposal radar kicked in HARD. So I started filming on my phone from a distance “just in case.” 👀
Sure enough… a few seconds later he got down on one knee and she said YES. 🥹🤍💍
After the proposal Hannah and I rushed around the lake trying to catch up to them so I could send over the video and photos I had captured. While we were talking, I kept going back and forth in my head about whether I should ask them if they’d be up for an engagement session the next day. I didn’t want to intrude on such an emotional moment or come across pushy.
But I asked anyway. 😂
An hour later I got a message:
“Let’s do it.” ✨
And honestly, this session became one of my favorite memories from the entire trip. The spring rain was warm, the mountains were hidden in fog, and none of us cared one bit because these two were completely lost in their own little world.
This is your reminder that photos don’t need perfect sunshine to feel magical. Sometimes all you need is a lake in the Dolomites, a little rain, and two people wildly in love. 🤍
Congratulations again Moritz & Melissa!!! 🐾
