💔💔 stolen and deleted 😞
Two days ago the in was looted.. Those who do not know the Damascus Museum cannot understand the extent of this tragedy. The Damascus Museum ranks among the top ten museums in the world, and together with the Egyptian and Iraqi museums, it is more important than the Louvre and all other Western museums because its contents, and the contents of its sister museums, are original and unsurprising.
There was no news in official media, but a clumsy attempt to cover up the event. An apparent silence, as if what was stolen was not a nation's memory but just a scrap yard.
So easily the event passes, because those who control Syria today, / , see nothing but idols in the museum.
A country that gave birth to the Phoenicians, Canaanites, Aramites and dozens of other civilizations and cultures, has become hostage to (HTS,IS)who believe civilization is heresy and beauty is blasphemy.
My sadness after the news is already too great, because all of Syria has been stolen and not just the museum. The Syrian mind has been stolen and the memory of almost 99 percent of the new Syrian generation has been erased. Today their minds are reprogrammed by the occupiers, so stealing Syrian antiquities is nothing compared to what the Syrians have been rid of!
Syrian history and civilization have been stolen and erased.
Syrian dignity has been stolen and destroyed.
The Syrians have long stopped caring about the hope on which they have been stolen.
