It took me a while to paint the piglet. 🐷 Why? Cuz I put a lot of meaning into it. Did you know that piglets are being castrated without anesthesia all over the world? Can you imagine getting anything ripped or cut off without anesthesia? I don't. They are only a few days old usually. These little innocent beings have to be as tough as it gets from the day they are born. That's why I didnt choose the typical light pink tones. I wanted the piglet to look bold and strong with a pinch of hope. Piglets like us (and all other animals) deserve to have a peaceful and painfree life. So I am donating the full amount of this painting to the German Animal Welfare Organisation to help stop this cruel practise.
