Where Ludwig II. once kept his horses, couples now say yes.
Marstall am See in Berg was built in 1866 as a royal stable. Almost 160 years later the proportions still do the work: high walls, arched openings, ochre plaster that holds the afternoon light instead of reflecting it.
What makes it work for a wedding day, from a photographer’s point of view:
The bright attic apartment upstairs. Soft, indirect light through the whole morning, enough room to move, and no need to hide a single corner. Getting ready here is calm, and calm is what you see later in the images.
The open space downstairs and in the park. Nothing is fixed, nothing is prescribed. You bring the idea, this location gives you the room.
Thirty minutes from Munich, so your guests arrive without a journey.
