"In the city #110"
..the moment when you realize that you have photos on your hard drive that are no longer possible to shoot in this way today...

I don't usually write much text about my pictures. They should speak for themselves and not be explained. But in this case I want to provide you with some further information.

I took this photo on the Manhattan High Line in 2012, when construction work on Hudson Yards had not even begun. It was taken at the end of the High Line section, with the camera pointing up towards Central Park. As far as I know, the bridge under which the young man and the car are standing no longer exists. The place is now known as Hudson Yards. The picture has been heavily manipulated in terms of light. But no objects (apart from a little smoke) have been added. The car and the boy were actually standing there. What is he waiting for? What happened there? I'll leave that to your imagination.
Normally I concentrate on pure architecture and there should be no people in the picture. In this case however I want to combine street with architecture.

To be honest, I was a little inspired by with the moving people in front of the Flatiron Building. So the credits go to her.

"Magic Giants #274" - David against Goliath

Here is #3 of my vertorama series...

The “Dreischeibenhaus” in Düsseldorf is a mighty building - the adjacent “Schauspielhaus” is an architectural photographer's paradise. The building (architect Bernhard Pfau) is a work of art in its own way and offers an enormous number of possibilities for capturing the lines and shapes. Unfortunately, when I set out to photograph this building, the Christmas market was already in full swing, so a frontal perspective was not possible. In addition, the area in front of the “Schauspielhaus” is very popular with skateboard artists - you know what that means for the photographers. However, I will show more views, which I will edit according to my fine art vision. When you see the two buildings side by side, it's a bit like David against Goliath. Hope you like this one.
