All portrait sessions are designed around creating magical artworks that you will cherish, beginning with a quick discovery call to see what you are dreaming of from your photos.

Loki, my mushroom guardian.
I am loving autumn's colours... but whenever I go out walking, I just want to drink in all the shades of red and orange and yellow, rather than taking photos. Whoops 🙈

As autumn's chill really sets in, I want to share some of my favourite photos from this incredible golden evening amongst the heather, taken a month or two ago.
Heather, golden backlight, and cute models, what more could I ask for really?

Every now and then, I forget I've taken a photo. Maybe it didn't seem like something particularly exciting at the time - another photo of my serious Loki looking especially serious... but then I start working, and creating, and it pours out - the colours, the tones, the mood...
And suddenly, a photo I forgot I'd taken, has turned into a new favourite.

She is a phoenix, rising from the ashes 🔥

I loved meeting Amie and her owners a few weeks ago. We met up at a location I'd never been to, and we went for a walk through the woods, waiting for the sun to get low and warm... and then, it began to turn this glorious orange.

I popped Amie on a log, blocking the sun behind her, setting her fur on fire with its glow. Rosie stood behind me, making noises, all of us working together to get this perfectly focused intensity.

I am currently in Germany for the next few months! When I return to the UK I will have some very limited availability for portrait sessions so if you are interested, make sure you get in contact so we can talk.

Can’t stop smiling 😁
This is Norman, a wire haired vizsla whose photos I took last year. His owner Laura warned me that he would probably always have his mouth open in photos, and sure enough, the majority of his shots feature this big goofy grin. I love it though - this is him! He IS a big goofball, who spent the time during the shoot romping around and exploring, sniffing, and generally being a dog.
Of course we got some photos with mouth-closed, looking a lot more serious too (gotta have some variety!) but at the end of the day, these photos were the most Norman 😍

👉 tell me about your pup. Goofy, silly and happy? Or serious and thoughtful? Are most of your photos mouth open, tongue lolling? Or mouth closed, eyes intense?

Embrace the green 🌲
Love it or hate it, now that summer is here (is it? I can’t get my head around seasons in this part of the world. In australia our seasons start on the 1st of the month 😂) there’s green everywhere. Personally, I love it. There is so much you can do with greens. Soft desaturated yellow-green, bold and vibrant jungle-green, moody blue-tinged cyan green. I love working a green to suit the coat colour or eye colour of a dog, or shifting it so it contributes to the mood and feeling of the photo. One reason I love taking photography on this side of the world are the seasons! The colour explosion of spring, the greens and yellows of summer, rich red browns of autumn, and muted tones and blues of winter.

What about you? Are you a lover of greens? Would you have your pet’s portrait taken in these beautiful summer tones? 🤔

True love ❤️
Despite the thousands of midges at this location, and the pollen, and the feeling of ants or ticks or something crawling all over my legs, I knew I had to get some photos of Loki in this dandelion field, the sun setting behind the trees, and my most perfect model in a flower crown.

Sometimes the risk of doing something new, or working with someone new can stop you from doing what you want to do. Sounds familiar?

That's why, from the moment you get in contact to inquire about a session, to the moment your art is hanging on your walls or you are looking through your Storybook Album, I will be working with you. Every step of the way.
I want to understand exactly what you hope to get out of the photo session, doing everything I can to achieve that on the day of our session (within reason! I'm not going to stress out you or your dog to try and adhere to some kind of vision), and then when we meet up for your viewing session, you get to see the products, hold them, talk with me about sizes and options, even make wall mockups so you can get an idea of how the images will look on your walls.
I'm never in a rush. This is an experience, and it's all about YOU.
Have any questions? Get in touch! I'd love to hear from you.

I'm so excited to get back into photoshoots with you, not only to capture the images themselves, but to work together with you to find out exactly what will suit your home - whether it's a big, dramatic wall art piece, in rich colours and the most incredible detail...
Or it's designing a Storybook Album with you, something I've never seen done before, but which captures the personality, story, bond, and love you have with your pet.

Pictured here is the Fine Art Frame. When I took it out of the box, I couldn't stop looking at it, I just wanted to drink it all in.
Now imagine that feeling, but with your pet, up on the wall. The word "immortalised" is a bit cliché but honestly I'm pretty sure these wall art pieces are so incredibly well made that archeologists will be digging them up long after we've gone and admiring the fact that we used to keep dogs as pets 😂

I love providing the highest quality service, not only before, during, and after our shoot, but in all the products I choose as well... and I love that my clients love them too.

Think you’d like to book a session? Contact today! I’d love to answer any questions you may have.

Telling stories through pet photography. I've always loved telling stories. I still write novels now, when I'm not busy with photography. So it's important to me when creating a photo that I bring story into it.
Maybe it's the location, an enchanted mossy glade, from where forest sprites could emerge at any moment. Maybe it's the serious, earnest expression of the dog, who wants to tell you something about this place, who feels like some kind of forest creature himself, surrounded there by green moss and fallen tree trunks.
