ABANDONED VILLAS IN GERMANY 🏚️📸
Hidden behind overgrown gardens, the historic Villa Lichthardt and Villa Erna in Bad Rothenfelde tell a story spanning more than 120 years.
Originally built as guest houses, later used as a nursing home and most recently connected to a kindergarten, these historic villas now stand empty. Inside, traces of every era remain: ornate fireplaces, stained-glass windows, a historic service lift, decorative tiled stoves, abandoned hallways, and even a newspaper dated November 11, 1989.
Walking through the buildings feels like moving through different chapters of history. Some rooms show the effects of time, while others look as if they were only recently left behind.
A fascinating glimpse into the past of two remarkable examples of German spa-town architecture.
