I would really love to see more women as professionals in Motorsport, not just as the heavily discussed - and gone forever - grid girls.

In my opinion Tatiana Calderon is closer to a competitive permanent seat in F1 than anyone else.

Are there other women to be competitive soon with the necessary budget and talent?

The columbian driver was competing in GP3 the last two seasons. 2016 together with Arden, 2017 with Carlin and is now F1 Development Driver for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 team. She will habe to do a lot of work in the simulator I think. Currently I have no clue if she will do some Friday practice sessions too.

The photo was taken in Silverstone during the British F1 Grand Prix.
