“What is the process of a photoshoot actually like?”

The short answer? It’s different every time. There’s no fixed script, location, or formula. 💫

Every session starts with a conversation, because getting to know you is an important part of the process. We might talk about locations, outfits, family traditions, meaningful places, or memories that matter to you.

On the day, I guide when needed and leave space for things to happen naturally—often, the most meaningful photos are the unplanned ones.

Afterward, I carefully select and edit the images that best tell your story, creating a gallery that feels personal, cohesive, and timeless. ✨

For me, photography is more than a creative process, it’s a human one. And that’s my favorite part. 🤍

Letting go and fully surrendering to the unexpected is always scary at first.

It’s something I’ve had to learn not only in life, but also in my work.

Since I started experimenting more with this cinematic documentary style, I’ve realized that the soul of a photograph often lives in the unexpected—in the moments you couldn’t have planned for.

The work I’m creating now feels much more fulfilling because of that. 💫

I’m naturally a very structured and controlling person. I like things to be organized, and for a long time that mindset shaped the way I approached photography too.

But sometimes, you have to learn the rules really well before you can start breaking them. ✨

The real backstage of my sessions isn’t the photos.

It’s me constantly saying
“Oh my God, you look so beautiful”
“STOPPP that’s so cute”
“wait wait wait, do that again”
and a thousand dramatic little reactions while I’m taking photos 🥹

While editing this reel I just kept thinking: thank God we can add music to videos 🤍

Although… maybe it’s time for a real behind-the-scenes with the actual audio 😂

There are so many incredible places we pass by every day. And often, we don’t see their potential, or we think they’re not worth trying.

Lately, I’ve been trying not to overthink it and simply give it a chance.

These are small glimpses from different places that caught my eye along the way, including this beautiful S-Bahn station in Leipzig ✨

Right before everything changes 🤍

These are some of my favorite moments to photograph — the last weeks before a family grows, before routines change, before they finally meet the baby they’ve been waiting for.

Quiet, emotional, and impossible to repeat in the exact same way.

And then there are the little moments in between that make everyone laugh — like when we asked Lua where the baby was, and this was her reaction 🥺
