We are so saddened to learn of the death of Kanya King, Founder of the MOBOs and inspirational entrepreneur. I had wrongly assumed that she had recovered from her stage four bowel cancer diagnosis in 2024. She and I were both part of the judging panel of the NatWest Everywoman Awards and I was always impressed by her empathy, warmth and drive - constantly fighting systemic racism and making personal sacrifices for what she believed in. She worked tirelessly to break down barriers & to prove her right to a seat at the table - and when she was there, she always reached out her hand to lift others up with her. Such a massive loss of such a special woman. Rest in Power Kanya 💔
