Church and cemetery in the Czech Republic. According to historical records, St. George's Church was built in the Baroque style between 1768 and 1770. The cemetery surrounding the church is likely of similar age; the current graves date back to the 19th century. The mural depicting young people on the building opposite the church was probably once a school.

Abandoned tuberculosis clinic Sophienheilstätte
The sanatorium was built on October 14, 1898 with the support of a Grand Duke family in a forest area not far from Weimar. The sanatorium, which was originally able to accommodate 80 patients, initially served as a spa facility for the treatment of tuberculosis. Since capacity was quickly reached, a second wing of the building, lounges in the forest and sleeping barracks were built in the summer of 1899 in order to be able to accommodate more patients. In 1911/1912 two floors were added to the main building, increasing the number of beds to 200. From 1924 onwards, the transformation of the spa into a clinical sanatorium began in order to be able to carry out new treatment methods and corresponding surgical interventions for lung patients. For this purpose, new treatment rooms were created, laboratories were built and X-ray machines were purchased. The sanatorium was reoriented in 1951 and from then on the Sophienheilstätte served as urology and orthopedics. After the end of the GDR and the privatization of the clinic in 1991, urology was handed over to the Blankenhain district hospital the following year. In addition, due to repatriation claims against the Thuringia State Insurance Agency, the orthopedic department was finally relocated to the central clinic and the historic building was evacuated in 1993. Since then it has fallen into disrepair.

Drei Kreidekreuze an Türen, Betten und Schränken sehe ich nicht zum erstenmal in einem alten, verlassenen Bauernhof. Die drei Kreuze aus Kreide sind ein alter Aberglaube bzw Brauch und sollen vor Unheil, Blitzschlag und bösen Geistern schützen. Die Zahl drei steht dabei fast immer für die Trinität (Vater, Sohn und Heiliger Geist). Gerade die Winternächte waren auf etwas abgelegenen Bauernhöfen lang und einsam und man konnte da in der Nacht schon unheimliche Geräusche hören ...
