It’s my 38th birthday today! And what better way to celebrate than with some exciting news?

My website, olivne.com , is now live! 📸✨

Most of the images are from the past 2–3 years and come mostly from my film photography collection (more digital work will be added very soon!).
The photos are organized in series, and while many series are only partially displayed due to the number of images, I’m always happy to share more

Just a reminder of how cold and quietly haunting winter can feel in German suburbia, where the grey stillness lingers. But with the first hints of spring, there's a soft lightness in the air — a quiet promise that change is coming. Of course, none of that is visible in this image.

I met .farinas in his inspiring Berlin ceramic studio in autumn 2024, after I put out a call for artists to photograph on film with my new camera. Mauro, the first to respond, welcomed me into his space, where I had the chance to document both him and his mesmerizing ceramic practice. My goal was to connect with new people and capture their creative environments — thank you, Mauro, for making it such a great start!

and I go back to 2003, spending many hours together at the after-school study center during high school. We both ventured into creative and research fields—while I settled in Berlin, Sonia rooted herself in Amsterdam, focusing on academia, artistic research, teaching, and curatorial work. Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting her studio in Amsterdam to capture her portrait. It felt meaningful to reconnect in her creative space, and to see how, despite the years and distance, our paths remain intertwined.

My friendship with .shenfeld spans over 18 years. Taking her portrait always carries the warmth of photographing someone close to my heart. It's been a privilege to document her incredible journey as a musician and to capture her profile photos through the years. This digital photo was taken in 2019 in her Berlin studio.
Thank you, Maya, for allowing me to witness and capture your world all these years.

Since I got my first film camera—a Kodak point-and-shoot gifted by my parents in third grade to document a school trip—I’ve felt most comfortable observing life from a distance, capturing what unfolds before my eyes. Photography doesn’t just document reality; it manipulates time and space, freezing a moment in history to be revisited and reinterpreted. I love creating these little time capsules, allowing me to step back into fleeting moments whenever I choose.
Like this photo, taken on a film set in Berlin circa 2009.

This is my first time-sharing on these pages as I put myself out there as a photographer that officially offer services. Like many artists, turning creativity into a stable income has been a challenge, but photography—especially portraits—is what I love most.
This film portrait of .elyakim is a favourite. The interaction, understanding, and stories shared reminded me why I love photographing people.
Thank you, Maayan, and thanks to everyone for checking out my new photography pages!
