Alix Lucas Analog photography and cyanotype experimentations I am a visual artist based in Nouméa, New Caledonia. From the manual focus to developing in the dark room.

I work mostly on installations with a strong focus on photography. After more than 10 years of digital pictures, I was longing to get back to the whole photographic process. That is the reason why I have been focusing on analog pictures. I am obsessed with the definition of being a photographer. Today, the access to a camera is easy. Imagery is everywhere. Nobody wants to read long articles: a meaningful image will do the job just fine. In the middle of this overwhelming flow, what can I —as an artist— add to a world already saturated with visual contents?
