Nothing is as fascinating as an octopus! Yesterday I watched one "parachute" hunting...
It stretches the webbing between its limbs to form a canopy that traps hiding prey like crabs and shrimp. .
Then it blows strong jets of water from its siphon (mantle) into small holes and cracks to force hidden animals out into its waiting web. Once the prey is trapped or feels around blindly beneath the web, the octopus pulls the food toward its mouth. Gotcha!

Bumped into this little guy on a night dive 🤣.
Arrow squid can change colour and patterns to communicate with each other. But in this case, I think this is just his "holy cow" face 😂.

The shade of the day is yellow -ish🤣
Frogfish are like the ultimate chameleons; they adapt to their environment by slowly taking on the colour of the background, and -if necessary- they even mimic the textures of their surroundings!

Macro dive? More like OH NO, A GIANT FISH IS COMING FOR ME!!!
When you are shooting the tiniest squat lobster and look up to see a giant Goliath Grouper coming your way... 🤯
Shoutout to Caitlin for capturing him so superbly. What a dive!

Our little mystery fish... It seems to be a juvenile Scorpionfish... but which one? We consulted multiple experts and received varying opinions: coral scorpion, spotted scorpion, and reef scorpion. We still don't know... Who can help ID it?

Martje and I are slipping... Yesterday we only found 6 frogfish...🤣🤣
BUT, the real magic was the cutest and smallest frogfish I have ever seen!!😍 Look at him admiring his reflection in my double-ender.
