I had this editorial in my head for the longest time. It took me a while to find the perfect couple and vendors. In December of 2020, the photoshoot was ready, and then life happened, so photos were waiting for their time to be edited. I'm happy that finally, I'm able to show you the result.
Most of all, I would like to send the biggest thank you to amazing Šárka and Katka from , who did such an incredible job as models (even though outside was around 9°C). And to vendors, I'm so grateful for. For their creativity, enthusiasm, words of courage, and patience (it was the first editorial I've organized by myself, and there is a lot to improve in my skills 😅). Without them, non of this would be possible.
There are few aspects I really wanted to include in this editorial.
* First of all, I love small intimate weddings, elopement just for two of you or ceremony with your closest ones. It allows you to be more present, to fully experience all your emotions. Not to worry about all the guests being pleased, or if everything goes according to the plan. Just take it slow. And when the situation allows us, plan a party with all your friends, celebrate and dance till morning. In times of COVID-19, it is also probably the best possible choice.
* Some think that wedding must be spectacular and cost a fortune. But I believe that it could be done simply and sustainably. This is why I've chosen matching dresses from delicate lace by fashion designer Lucie Kutálková Leeda . Minimalist unique rings from white and yellow gold were made by my amazing friend Anička AnnaKubicova.jewelry . Behind such a simple yet beautiful graphic is Petra Manu (check out her letterpress!). Karin Makeuperka.Karin.K - Make Up & Spirit Artist took care of make-up and hair. She works with organic make-up, which I love! And wedding florals? What can you find in winter if you really care about sustainability? GREEN-DECOR made it happen! They source flowers from their own farm and local suppliers. Stunning bouquets from dry flowers will last (almost) forever.
* Last but not least, it's an lgbt+ wedding editorial. In the Czech Republic, legal gay marriage is still not a thing. LGBT+ couples are legally allowed to enter into registered partnerships only. That is, however, not equivalent to getting married. But I believe that the best day will be when we no longer talk about a gay wedding because it's just a wedding. Marriage is about love, not gender.
