🔥 Meet the Fiery-Billed Aracari—Costa Rica’s most colorful chatterbox! 🔥

With a beak that looks like it was dipped in fire and a personality to match, these mini-toucans are the life of the jungle! 🌿They spend their days snacking on fruit, squabbling with friends, and crashing in old woodpecker nests (because who has time to build a house?).

Squad goals?✔️ They love hanging out in flocks, tossing food to each other like it's a rainforest picnic.

🍉 Foodie alert! They’re all about fruit but won’t say no to the occasional insect or egg.

📢 Jungle gossipers! Their sharp calls warn other animals when trouble is near.

Spot one in the wild? Consider yourself lucky—you’ve just seen a flame-colored feathered treasure! 🔥✨

💚😍In Costa Rica’s rainforests, the three-fingered sloth is the ultimate chill master, sleeping up to 15 hours a day and moving so slowly that algae grow on its fur! With a permanent smile and a top speed of just 0.24 km/h, it’s nature’s reminder to slow down and enjoy the ride.

🤯Bonus: They’re great swimmers and can hold their breath for up to 40 minutes! Now that’s sloth power!❤️

🌸✨ Bees play a crucial role in our ecosystems! As they flit from flower to flower, collecting nectar and pollen, they inadvertently transfer pollen between plants, enabling them to reproduce. This pollination process is essential for the growth of many fruits, vegetables, and wildflowers. 🐝🌱 Support our little heroes by planting bee friendly native plants, avoiding use of pesticides and supporting local beekeepers!

I would also love if we could be like a bee this year:

🌿 Cultivate beauty wherever we go.
🌻 Nurture connections that bloom into something extraordinary.
☀️ Stay grounded while reaching for the sky.

Here’s to a 2025 filled with growth, kindness, and the magic of the natural world. 🌎✨

💚🌬️Everything comes from nature and everything goes back here, including ourselves! 💚 I'm so thankful to be able to spend time hiking in the cloud forest: one of my homes, to breathe fresh air and contemplate. 🧠 I don't leave my camera behind because most of my photos are not as planned...I love the surprises of every exploration!

This is my real motor, what grounds and allows me to be fully present ❤️ Because photography for me is not about the perfect picture..and what is perfect anyway?? It goes deeper than that and I really hope to be able to speak through it!

So thank you for supporting my journey and taking the time to contemplate with me! I hope you feel inspired enough to go outdoors and hug a tree, or touch the ground, or feel the wind and watch the sky, finding the connection we all need to return home 💚❤️

Thank you Monteverde, for always being amazing with me! I love living here and I feel blessed to feel so protected and nurtured! No matter how far I might be sometimes, this land always calls me back 😍🌻❣️

🌬️Let life runs it's course! There so many things we cannot control and yet, we keep stressing about it! Every time I hiked Grassi Lakes, I thought about this. Because photography is also about contemplating nature, life and understanding how every move has an impact in the overall ecosystem...for better or for worse. It could also be about learning from the flow of water or the gently movement of the leaves falling from trees. There so many things you can apply to your own life and that is just beautiful ❤️

So, I wanted to share this picture I took, the moment I realized I needed to let life runs it's course. Accept that some things are beyond my control and I surrendered with a short and silent meditation while photographing this moment. 🍃

Can you relate to this? 💗

🌧️🌬️Antelope Canyon: a natural wonder carved over millennia by water and wind! It's located on the Navajo Nation in Arizona, and holds deep cultural significance for the Navajo people, who call it *Tsé bighánílíní*, meaning "the place where water runs through rocks." Its swirling sandstone walls and mesmerizing light beams are not only breathtaking but also a reminder of the land's ancient heritage and the tribe’s enduring connection to nature. 🍃

Sadly, it's been so popular and commercialized, that it's impossible to admire it without being pressured by other big groups behind you.

If you're planning to visit, even though it might be crowded, remember that you're stepping into a place cherished by the Navajo as sacred, where every curve and color tells a story of resilience. 🌄💫

🙈Macaque monkeys! I was walking along the coast of a small town called Kep in Cambodia when I notice someone chasing me...😅

Exactly...a little fella! I thought it was alone but then, all the macaque gang appeared! 🙈🙉🙊 I've learned to respect wildlifes space but this time, getting as far as possible from them was a difficult task. 🤦🏿‍♀️ Theyre so used to being fed by humans, that chase people, looking for more food! 😦

Luckily, I didn't have any and I think they realized it really quickly....so I sat down, far away from the macaques gang to watch a really interesting/unhealthy dynamic between them, people, trash and the trees/cars...sometimes you get shocked when you travel and live in different realities across the world...Cambodia was definitely interesting, shocking, beautiful, weird...a mix of emotions/ideas/thoughts/reflections....the more different, the more I learn and I feel how my mind opens up slowly to tolerance, compassion, purpose, solidarity, kindness.

Fun facts about macaques:

🙊All macaque social groups are arranged around dominant matriarchs.

🙈Most macaque species are listed as vulnerable to critically endangered on the International Union of the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.

🙊They are considered highly intelligent and are often used in the medical field for experimentation due to their remarkable similarity to humans in emotional and cognitive development.

🙉Certain species have become invasive, while others that survive in forest habitats remain threatened.

🙈They can carry transmittable diseases such as herpes B..more reasons to give them space and avoid contact!

I took these pictures after observing them for a while! Contemplation is part of what I enjoy doing while photographing...and wildlife can be really interesting to watch too.

What do you think?!

✨I'm a light chaser! Or at least I try to be. Landscape photography is also about timing..knowing where the sun goes down and when. You're always on the mercy of changing weather, specially in the mountains! I check the weather report but often found is not as accurate when it comes to some areas! 😅

So as an advice, take in consideration but acknowledge the possibility it might not be what you expected...that way you can always be prepared and create a plan b, c or even d! Nature is breath taking with storms, gorgeous colors or in a gray day..it all goes down to if you can make more time, have more options and try a better shot next sunrise/sunset. Don't be disappointed and make the best of the gifts nature and life gives you.

Grand Tetons was challenging because I really didn't know the area and the trip was not necessarily to photograph...but I always carry the camera, knew when the blue or golden hour was happening, and could at least, give myself the chance to be surprised if colors explode wherever I go!

I pinned some places that wanted to visit, scout for possible framings and even made sunrise shots 😍

Whatever you do, please give yourself the opportunity to enjoy the place, no matter the photography outcome 😍❤️

Ps: one member of the traveling crew is a climber, so last 4 pictures are his from the top 😍 So cool!!

First time in a desert and the day I realized how I wanted to focus on landscape photography and wildlife ❤️ It's funny how sometimes you land in majors or activities by accident, not really thinking it will become a big passion for years and years...but that's exactly how I feel nature photography and I bonded....it was not through my major photography but years later, through experiences and feelings!

Traveling was something I got obsessed with for a long time..so when Avianca put airline tickets to Peru for $50 roundtrip, I jumped into the unknown with half of Costa Rica 🇨🇷💙 South America was more expensive than traveling to Europe at the time, and this, opened up an outstanding possibility for a lot of us...

That's how I ended up in Huacachinas desert, taking a self portrait in the middle of magical dunes, without being aware on how significant it really was. Costa Rica doesn't have dunes or deserts... we're in tropical territory so I was beyond amazed when I discovered with my eyes what it felt to be on top of a dune...so freaking hard to climb 😅 it gave me an outstanding view and I felt tiny, insignificant....that precious land made me realized how powerless we are compared to the power and magnitude of nature...and yet, we live as if it was the opposite....

So many reflections later, it made me understand how I wanted to try and capture the beauty, immensity and outstanding this world is....and why it is our duty to stop living as if humans are the only thing that matters.... we're part of something bigger and we're destroying it everyday, and also, destroying ourselves in the process...isn't it dumb?!

As much as I care, I know I can't do it alone but I can start for myself....💚and I can use photo as a way to show others what magical world we live in, and what will unfortunately disappear, if we don't change🪷 Will it make a difference? Probably not...but at least I hope it can inspire others not only to explore nature but also, care for it....

PS: Same desert during daytime and nighttime ❤️

¡It's Capuchin monkey in Costa Ricas jungle baby! These little fellas might seem fun and funny...just never forget they're wild and what started as a silly game of food exchange (please dont...they know how to get their own food) or reckless approaches, it can easily become an attack. Oh yes, a monkey bite will take you to the hospital for sure....!

The ecosystems they inhabit are mutually benefitial...how? Well, trees allow them to hide or jump away from predators...at the same time, they spread their seed leftovers and f***l matter across the forest floor which helps new plants to grow, therefore adding to the already abundant foliage that shelters the capuchin! Isn't this natural exchange marvelous?!

As always, as a person who loves nature and tries to protect the environment, it's my duty to remind you: to be respectful with wild animals, keep a safe distance, don't feed them and walk away if they get interested in what you have.....I've seen some nasty outcomes from irresponsible tourists....thank you 💗

I used my sony 200-600 mm lens to get this shot while in a boat around Palo Verdes reserve, during a tour I was leading in the area 😍 Outstanding my tico paradise ❤️
