This location seriously never has a bad day. It truly rained sheets sideways, complete down poured on us & not only were there soo many micro settings/locations, but plenty of spots out of the elements. Thanks RFR for sharing & really bringing together sessions 💛💛

If rain on a wedding day is good luck, how about a Kona Low, once-every-century type of tropical cyclone?? 🌀
My favorite thing about shooting elopements, you can do it however & wherever the hell you want on your own time & terms 🌺 We worked around storm cells & showers for 2 days getting what we needed, with the sky clearing on schedule with the ceremony like it had planned it all along.

This shot was a planned shot & specifically requested after the tiki torches caught their eye. I particularly love shutting the day down into natural low lighting & playing w external sources that may night be traditional “box lighting” or flash etc.

Notoriously late in fashion for shots that make it to the ‘gram, but these deserve a permanent spot on here 🤞

𝘚𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘢𝘩 𓆃

I loved how the sunset was so warm & orange & glowing, that I kept checking my color grading thinking I was botching something. The contrast of powerful elements meeting delicate movement stick with me. The jagged rocks meeting the incoming tide, the gusts of wind picking up the scarf, the soft flow through controlled movements.

Refining Fire Ranch is a special place any time of the year, but it absolutely explodes with life & colors once the cold fronts pass & the seasons open. You never know which trees, bushes, bulbs, or kiddos alike will be in full bloom there but I swear when they are, their blossoms last a little bit longer. Must be something in the dirt 💛🌳🍯 Refining Fire Ranch

Shooting on the big rig from the ocean herself was a dream come true & felt like a long time calling & coming. It was pretty sweet to achieve this goal that little me would dream about.

The years of swimming, waterpolo (egg beatering subconsciously forever iykyk), lifeguarding etc & overall aquatic-feening tendencies have always had me feeling quite amphibious & drawn to any body of water all my life. Often falling into at inconvenient times (oops). Grateful for the way that experience & comfortability prepared me to try something I’d always wanted to. Never stop learning 🤙
