Creative Process of my new project in Atacama Desert, Chile.

The project unfolds through three interconnected bodies of work, one being photogravures. They are printed using stone powder from the exact locations where the images were made, transforming geological matter into a medium of inscription.

Stones with their specific indexing system before being reduced into powder.

In an era increasingly shaped by simulation and immaterial image production, the works insist on the persistence of material reality and the capacity of matter to bear witness.

Same stones, now powders, soon transformed as ink.

The traces in the project functions simultaneously as geological evidence, photographic inscription, and physical remains of the world itself.

Working through a fieldwork methodology inspired by geology and archaeology, the project creates indexical traces: material records whose existence depends upon a direct encounter with a specific place.
