To my wonderful friend Gennaro, who's presence enlightens the space and inspirits every being. 🌞 🌑
It was end of June when we decided to hike to a mountain cabin in the area of Switzerland, not aware that there could be snow. Without specific clothes or snow equipment the journey began unprepared, but at same time with an infinite amount of joy and curiosity.
First we were happy about the snow we saw, then after the first hour we realized there was nothing but snow in front of us. But the goal was already set before we arrived, so there was no option of turning back.
With the first steps walking on the snow the real adventure begun. Never in my life I felt so mindful and alive for every single moment over a duration of hours. No thoughts about past or future, only the present moment where life and death was so close to each other.
But we were not alone; apart from the deep rooted connection of our friendship, there was the spirit of the nature, that made us surrender with infinite trust. Although life and death was so close to each other, not a single trace of doubt was there.
I will never recommend such a naive adventure, unless you have a friend who is full of trust and deeply connected to nature. This pure foundation makes you humble and lets you die as if you have never lived, at the same time makes you alive as if you never die.
