A person remains loyal because of kinship, familiarity, security, group identity, or dependence on strength: “He is my father.” “She is my leader.” “This is my nation.” “This is my side.” Therefore, whatever happens, I must stand with them.
This is the form closest to pet-like loyalty, and it arises largely from the Natural Archetype. It can strengthen cohesion within small groups, but it can also produce unconditional family protection, nepotism, sectarian conflict, racism, and blind attachment to the powerful.

And when AI itself makes a judgment, can it remain open to being stopped, questioned, and reassessed?
Such an AI may not always make people comfortable.

Affective beauty is usually immediately visible: strength, certainty, victory, praise, belonging, and immediate satisfaction.
Cognitive beauty is often uncomfortable: doubt, boundaries, checks and balances, responsibility, delayed gratification, and the admission of error.
Humanity’s difficulty is not that we are incapable of recognizing beauty. It is that we too easily use a rapid valuation system designed for survival and reproduction to judge facts, ideas, and institutions.
The gravitational field of human nature is the persistent pull created by this mismatch.
