Two huge contributors to the mountain biking community(Ron and Krys) just lost everything they had in an out of control fire yesterday near Kamloops. There’s a gofundme setup to help them rebuild. Link in bio.

This comes after an unprecedented heat-wave earlier this summer, and combined with long term drought conditions, the perfect recipe for unbelievable fires is upon us. It’s pretty clear to see that the climate is changing, and this is an obvious by-product.

My heart goes out to all of those who are being affected by these crazy fires. And also a huge thank you to the women and men who are out there fighting these blazes.

Let there be rain.

The future of our old growth forests unfortunately looks a little like this. These photos were taken on the slopes directly adjacent to the Fairy Creek watershed. It’s time to shift the way our forests are managed for harvesting, so we can preserve the natural wonders of the ancient forests for the generations to come. Support .

It’s been a soggy start to the season this year, and I’ve been wearing pants for most of my rides. These new MTB pants have been my go to. Technical, flexible, and comfortable. I seriously love them.

First time riding this ridge line, having only scoped it with binoculars. High winds and a couple off camber sections above exposure kept it interesting for a first ride down.
